I am going to go ahead and say I think MGSV is going to be the highest rated MC scored of game of this generation. And one last thing, if you were one of the people who were saying this would look bad compared to TW3, slap yourself. MGSV is a memorizingly beautiful.

One word can be used to describe that trailer, Powerful!

Can't help by being so bothered by Snakes PS2 textured hair....compared to others which appear to be better looking. Also, I don't fancy the setting of peace walker which this is pretty much based around in...concerning characters and such. Another thing, this big boss seems to lack character....or perhaps they are showing very little of it on purpose, i don't know but i don't like it. We shall see.

I'm not watching anything anymore. It's also getting dangerous now with spoilers, whether they're real or not.

Gotta ask, wtf is going one with those visuals? Was this running on ps360? Just look at cloth/hair/environment textures, its really bad...

yes graphics quality is all over the place, too inconsistent, sometimes it looked great sometimes it look 360 gen

and haven't we supposedly killed those MGS 3 villains? story is one huge clusterfuck...

story's been always a clusterfuck and i like it that way (my fav part of the series lol) but the graphics? What in the ****!? Something is wrong there because last time i checked FoxEngine was supposed to be impressive looking...

Damn it bro, I thought there was actually a new trailer.

I dunno, I played through MGS4 3 times and each time I gave up just past the halfway mark of the game. This looks like it's running some last gen tech in a bunch of spots, like mouth movements, hair, and textures. I think if it scores 10 it will be purely out of nostalgia like MGS4 did.

Yeah, the assets for this game are built around the limitations of PS360. Definitely a cross gen game. As for the mouth movement with Skullface in the jeep, that was just the narration in the trailer. All the faces are scanned and all expressions and talking are mocapped. That's one part of the game that actually looks great so far, but I can see how you would get that impression from the trailer.

As for this game compared to MGS4 though? Might as well be comparing two different franchises. MGS4 is a 5 hour game with 10 hours of boring cutscenes. And even with that minimal amount of gameplay only the first couple of chapters put it to good use.

MGSV is the polar opposite. It's a massive freeform infiltration game. The entirety of MGS4 would only be a small blip on the first map of this game. Even without that scale, the gameplay in MGSV is some of the smoothest around. It obliterates the gameplay in MGS4.

MGS4 is the black sheep of the series while MGSV is looking to be the best in the series by far.

Is there any new footage in this?

Nope. Just the same E3 trailer.

The next new footage should be soon, a video that details mother base growth. It's not a guarantee, but Kojima said he would try. Aside from that we have Gamescom coming up. They probably won't have a trailer, but the game will be playable to the public for the first time. Maybe they'll show off another gameplay demo.
