Metro Trilogy vs Original Halo trilogy. Better trilogy?

I've not played enough of Metro to say, every time I tried to play it I just bounced off it.

Metroid Trilogy is best.

Bad comparisons.

Edit: Oh and I take what @mesome713 said, Metroid Trilogy demolished both of those games.

One has some of the best, most-balanced multiplayer. The other is for weak casuals who fear actual challenge.

Halo, and it's not close.

The one gripe I have about Metro is that its just a bit shit. Apart from that its great.

People say Metro isn't deep, it's just 'COD in a tunnel' they say.

But maybe it's deep enough? You choose how to tackle encounters. You have stuff like visibility of the gasmask and your lights going out to worry about. It's survival lite and I like that approach.

Just like people can appreciate Dark Souls lite and Rogue lite.

Metroid Prime trilogy > Halo.

But Halo is *vastly* superior to Metro.

Metro is a masterpiece. Its deep and innovative game when it was released in 2010.

The first 3 Halo games that make the Trilogy released way before even the first Metro game. IMO not a great or fair comparison as they are not contemporary games.

Easily Halo, what a mismatch.

I never heard of the Metro trilogy having any praise by gamers and critics unlike the Halo trilogy. So in a way, I choose the the Halo trilogy.

most mainstream gamers voted Halo anyways but Metro is not only more than so called "COD in russia" but also have incredible level design, exploration, gasmask system, and most of all Atmosphere. dark and gritty.

Definitely Halo for me. I tried to get into Metro but it just didn’t hook me.

I played Metro 2033 ... and i really, really wanted to enjoy it, but man i just couldn't. Then i tried Last Light and it was much better, but never bought the game for one reason or another, haven't tried Exodus since i barely know a thing about the plot.

Halo on the other hand ... Halo CE great FPS for the time, i really enjoyed the campaign, Halo 2 campaign wasn't as good but multiplayer was godlike, Halo 3 was an improvement and while the story is still not that great, multiplayer was godlike ... it was probably the last game i did "LAN parties", man ... good times.

So yeah ... Halo by a mile.

My vote: Halo. Metros is a pretty average series only revered by Ghost lol.

Halo CE is still the only one i've really enjoyed. multiplayer hasn't been up my alley and the campaigns have been meh.

granted I didn't play 2 and especially 3 until way later but neither really did much for me. they lost the cool mysterious vibe of the first one.

voted for Metro since at least the series seems to be getting stronger as it goes along and the atmosphere is top notch.

Halo actually plays well. Metro was a basic bitch shooter, but had “mah atmosphere”. Metro is every shitty thing people bitch about with every other linear, ads shooter, with scripted sequences, dumb AI, and way too much of an emphasis on production/presentation, but actually with some Eastern European soul (and a shit plot). All I can say is:

I love me some Metro. But don't ever compare the two. Halo is iconoc. Halo is more of a cult classic. Metro is not. Not even close

After purchasing the metro games this past year I have to say I'm thoroughly disappointed. I was expecting something gritty like STALKER and rec'd some B-grade cheese set in a generic post-apocalyptic setting. The voice acting and script alone puts it behind Halo, which again, I'm not overly fond of to begin with.

There are better multiplayer games out there than Halo, and its campaign is not better than the Metro ones.

I'd argue the Halo story is better, though. And Master Chief is a top-tier hero, I won't besmirch that.

Fortunately I live in a world where I can love both, and I do.

I love metro but the games aint exactly stellar... the extreme linearity also hurts it a lot.

Metro did everything better than Halo except polishness. yet Halo wins here.

Immersion = Fun. when you are immersed in a world. its fun.

Halo is opposite of immersion. its cartoonish and super heroish kinda like MCU while Metro is deep, dark and gritty.

i love both series but i prefer halo series

any game can be "immersive"
