it looks like they took weapon customization from Crysis 1 and made it much better.
the gunplay looks incredibly satisfying. i remember how bad it was in original 2033 but here it just looks so good.

The weapon customization looks more like the one in Fallout 4 to me although in the latter, changes had to be made (and unmade) on a workbench.
Am I first to call it Fallout 4 clone?
Exodus has elements of the STALKER games, the previous Metro games, and Fallout 4 to me. I like it already. But, I wouldn't call it a Fallout 4 clone.
Anyway, just a quickie comparison of weapon customization in 3 games I own. Which ones will Exodus come closest to?
I might be pushing Ammo Type in Fallout 4. But, I thought some weapons have different ammo types.

the combination of STALKER, Crysis and Metro 2033 is a big epic win.
Metro Exodus will easily surpassed Half life 2.

When it comes to weapon customization, I think Crysis and Metro 2033 are too limited in customization options. I think Exodus will combine those from Call of Pripyat plus Fallout 4 and make improvements.
Fallout 4 has a ridiculous amount of weapons plus different variations of each type, in addition to the coveted legendary versions. Crysis and Metro 2033 are not even in the same league. Even Call of Pripyat with an external weapons mod falls behind.
One thing I hope will get dropped from Exodus is using AK ammo as currency. Is there any word on what the currency will be in Exodus?
I think it's better to use either the STALKER method where looted guns can be traded for RU or anything else provided they're in good condition. Or, the one in Fallout 4 where practically anything I pick up can be traded for Nuka Cola bottlecaps.
Edit:
I love to shop in games except the Metro games because it pains me to lose my precious ammo. ;) Using AK ammo as currency. What a silly idea.
Man, my wallet will hate me this 2019. Also, by any chance, is the release of Cyberpunk this year too?
I love how the guns are just fugly as hell but so functional. Adds a lot of character to the game.
Seems like this Metro game is more action-heavy. I remember with the original Metro ammo was pretty scarce, it added a lot to the tension. I had to debate sometimes over whether or not I wanted to expend the ammo, run, and so on.
