Next month for the first time PlayStation 3 owners will be able to play Mass Effect 1 also which will cost $15 on PSN.

I'll probably just buy Mass Effect 1 on PSN rather than buying the whole collection since I own the other 2. It'll be nice to finally be able to have the full story on PS3.

Man, way too little, way too late. Remember that fantastic comic... Seems like it wasn't a great replacement for the game.

It definitely fell down in many areas, but i'd still call it one of the best franchises this gen. Give us a game where mankind is discovering the relays, etc.

Indeed, ah i remember the days when people used to say " Mass Effect games will never be on PS3".. ME2 and ME3 gets announced to PS3 then ppl started saying " err ME1 will never be on PS3 thanks to Ms".. ME1 gets announced to PS3.. very fun times.

I played the 2nd and 3rd game and im pretty sure playing two complete games are enough to tell if a franchise is good or not :)

Yeah I never ruled out ME as a game coming out on PS3 after the 2nd one. I always though it'd get released on PSN. The people denying it are just silly lems

Exactly. Bioware/EA screwed the pooch with this... Now it'll better than getting the comic... Cows loved that comic... Better than the game lol.

They would have been right, especially when Microsoft held the publishing rights. It was exclusive for a year. Obviously, they had a timed contract.

looking back, it was a pristine franchise. bought every game in the trilogy at launch. definitely nostalgic seeing all those scenes from ME 1 and 2.

Played the first one on 360, second on PS3 and will be playing the 3rd on PC. Hopefully Origin has a good winter sale. It's a good series though. Not Bioware's best work but it's still pretty good.

As someone who was once a huge fan of the series, I have to say skip it. The journey is good, but the ending ruins the story, causing all three games' replayabilty to diminish to zero. Bioware's biggest mistake was making it up as they went along, something you should NOT do while making a planned trilogy. Another mistake was pretty much destroying anything good the second game had with the third game. Just do yourself a favor and skip it.

This whole trilogy is bull, you don't get all the downloaded content from the first two games...........i mean REALLY, im glad SWTOR FAILED EA

I guess it's good for those PS3 owners who have never played the original ME.

Personally I can't imagine wanting to play back through Moon Patrol 3D just because it's on the PS3 now.

Epic win.

ME(diocre) in a nutshell: Poorly written space opera, weaksauce RPG elements, weaksauce TPS, copy paste planets and interiors, inaccurate paraphrasing made conversations unimmersive and made me stick to only picking the upper choices or the bottom choices (paraphrasing is an awful system in itself, but thanks to how inaccurate the paraphrasing was at times, it was only worse), poorly done cliche species and characters, an alignment system that locks you out on dialogue options based on paragon/renegade forcing you to stick with one or the other if you want the best rewards.

Is ME 1 on ps3 gonna be the pc version? MS published the 1st one on 360 so some people said EA would port the pc one since MS didn't publish it.

definitely gonna pick this up.
