The Story: A new rating on the ESRB website, which was located by the snooping people of NeoGAF, has found out that Marvel Vs Capcom 2 will be making its way to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in the future.

Now, I know that it is available for the XBOX and PS2, but I do not own a copy. Plus it is overpriced overpriced if you are able to find a copy.

I've never quite gotten all the hype that this game gets. As a fan of both companies I loved getting to play as all of these characters and seeing them in the game. But as for the game itself, there's not much to it and what's there isn't so great. It's overly simplistic and very unbalanced. Is all the excitement just for the characters?

Closing Comments
You're better off picking up a Dreamcast and a copy of this game for $40 rather than spending that $40 on the Xbox version. At least that way you can perpetrate like you're a hardcore gamer.

This game is too old to be worth 80% of a real Xbox game and not old enough to get the nod from nostalgic "old school" gamers. MvsC2 is a disaster waiting to happen when a good-intentioned older female relative wanders into a retailer to pick up something "new" for you.

All of this hostility is because it's not an online fighting game as originally promised and instead is just another 2D fighter with outdated graphics on the most powerful home console around. It's not that 2D fighting is dead, but it damn sure doesn't need to be resurrected in this fashion.

I love Marvel Vs Capcom 2, still have it for Dreamcast, but I hope they give us online play.

MS should learn from this mod and then create the ultimate controller. Next the need to change the face buttons sensitivity and bounce so it's similar to the DualShock. THAT would be the ultimate controller.

I did this with one of my 360 controllers for DOA back in 2006. It's noticeably better, but not quite as good as I expected. Mostly because I'm so used to the perfect DualShock D-pad. While I was taking the controller apart I thought I was going to break it :P.

It's worth it if you are really into fighting games. If you don't want to risk it or don't care, buy an arcade pad :).
