MAG Is Embarassing.

Felt like I was back playing a PS1-era first person shooter. Atrotious graphics. awkward and antiquated controls.long respawn time. The 256 player gimmick is misleading (you only play in a section of the map).

Somehow it felt like a carbon copy of bad company 2 to me.

yep it looks like straight up garbage with literally nothing notable about it atm, right on the list of trash soon to be released and ignored just above quantum

hopefully im wrong, im down with any good game and i used to love tribes. but this game looks painfully mediocre. especially with bad company 2 on the horizon theres no reason to consider this game i can see

For a game that big and having alot of characters running around, the graphics are just fine. It looks like MW 2 with slightly better textures.

I wouldnt say its embarassing, but I wouldnt say its anything special either. only thing all those players is going to add imho is a LOT more spawn deaths.

I would like to play it to see if it deserves all the hype, but I can't even sign in and play the game.

For a game that big and having alot of characters running around, the graphics are just fine. It looks like MW 2 with slightly better textures.

MAG isn't embarassing.

MAG is a game that's online only that simulates how a squad works. not only that it's showing that you can have 200+ people on one PS3 server.

It's a fine game.

Too bad it's ONLINE ONLY.

To the OP, are the controls bad though? People bash RE5 controls because they aren't like Gears... but nothing in the game ever requires Gears like speed and the game is very much built around the control method. Are the MAG controls actually bad for playing the game how it's supposed to be played or are they bad as in "it's not like Halo or CoD?"

And the game comes out this month too unless they delay it.

No I dont care for COD or Halo. The only FPS i'm playing right now is Battlefield 1943 and its still feels sluggish slow and awkward even comapred to that game

Zipper should have just made another socom. They just got so worried about how to make 256 players work that its like they forgot to actually make the game fun

cause now they have 2 bad games on their hands. A bad socom game and.. mag Instead of just one really good socom

I downloaded and installed it last night but didn't get a chance to play. I'm actually anxious to give a spin.

Do the frag-o's make any difference at all, or do people just run around willy nilly like any other online shooter?

mag is embarassing because it shows no respect for the other systems and how underwhelming they are as the ps3 library grows. zipper should have scaled back their awesomeness and give the others a chance to eat as well. this kind of activity will get you hurt in the hood. mag is so fun. i was hating jan 4 7 am chicago time. i took off work to play this beta (im a teacher 2nd grade). by 11a i was like oh well. by 3p i was like this is fun. by 6p i realized i had been playikng most of the day. i left to get food and pick my son up from school. i started playing again at 8 when i put my son to bed and played until 3a and realized that this game is crack. mag is going to rock so hard. i know its not for everyone but i love it . i am guessing the scores will be all over the place from 10-6. average metacritic score will be 8.6 gamespot will be 7 ign will be 9

zipper didnt make socom on the ps3 slan 6 did. But i agree enough with generic fps and more with tps.
