Looks good next gen is all about the open world it seems. His face looks more Max Payne then Mel Gibson, or Tom Hardy. Nice to see some beefy hand top hand combat I guess. What do you think, the new Road Warrior, or in the skips Beyond Thunderdome.
Firstly, I like the setting and the trailer was really cool. However, he looks NOTHING like mad max (I wonder if there are rights issues?) and we don't see enough gameplay for me to get hyped yet. It will certainly be fairly high on my radar though.
Im already tired of games that only have a color pallete of brown.
Maybe Ill change my mind but it did little to interest me. It just looked like a dozen other games Ive played with no originality or sense of being fun. Shame considering the road warrior is one of my favorite movies, but maybe madmax just is better in 90 minute film segments instead of a full fledged video game.
Aside from a couple iconic things like the interceptor and the shotgun I didnt see or get anything from it that made me think mad max.

I'm not expecting much. Avalanche Studios isn't really known for being a top tier developer... I am far from being WOW'd. I did like Just Cause 2 though... so hopefully I'm wrong.
so wait those are the guys that made JC2. Instant care. I thought JC2 is by far the best open world game out there alongside far cry 3 so this is great news

Personally I think he is a good actor and director and that is all that counts. I loved Apocalypto and I loved how they didn't speak English in that movie, because Hollywood makes every nationality and every civilazation that ever existed speak English and I hate that.
But that is besides the point. I get that people don't want to work anymore with him. And that is most likely the reason, they didn't even try to mimic him with this character model. That's a shame.

After playing Just Cause 2, I have no doubt that Avalanche can pull off a cool open world game. My only issue is that Mad Max has a lot of driving and cars in it and driving was the weakest part about Just Cause 2, it was TERRIBLE. But given how much fun the rest of the game was, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.Â
