If you find a link, and that link is true. TLHBO!!! And dont even try it. Some of you were touting the compression tech being optimized on DVD9. And I dont give a damn what game it is, 4 dvd's?!!! "bu bu its not hard to change a disk". In general, you shouldnt have to...

Ok, that link is some bull****. What the hell is that site, some goth animal flesh eating site or something??
The saddest part is this is only year 2 of the Xbox 360
Year 3/4 = 5-6 or more discs?!?!
I'll gladly pay Sony $50 more than the 360 for 1 disc games with extra maps etc and HD blu-ray movies
Here we go
Cows will be the majority of ones caring about multiple disks trying to say TLHBO
Lemmings will be the majority of ones who don't care about multiple disks

There are many Blu-ray games that are shorter than DVD-9 games and graphically look pretty much identical. Enjoy those multiple languages. DVD-9 FTW! :D

Yeah but this is a 40 hour game minimum. Heavenly Sword is a 5 hour game and it takes up an entire Blu-Ray. If it had as much gameplay as Lost Oddyssey it would require GASP a total of 8 COUNT 'EM 8 Blu-rays!!1!
I'm very glad to hear this news. 4 discs for $60 bucks is quite a deal!JiveT
More discs = more value? :?

Quite sad. They need to start compressing data.

Oh sweet Moses, that is some tortured logic. No PS3 game will exceed one Blu-ray disc. Ever.

So a total of what TWO games are on more then one disk? Yeah that screams the need for Blu-ray for all gaming

In this case, yes.
More data and a more fully developed gameplay experience might be.
But on a competitor platform, the entire game would fit on one disc. So it's data that gives a game value, not discs per se.
I don't know how this news could possibly be interpreted as a positive thing for the 360 platform.

They'll push, but not that far.
A quad layer Blu-ray disc can fit 100 GB of data. That's almost twice the amount that can fit on the PS3's harddrive itself.
Sakaguchi needs to learn that CGI cut scene is waste of money.
Why bother with CGI cut scene when you can just make in-game cut scene that would look almost as good, but wouldn't take as much space and give you more flexibility?
I'm pretty sure in-game cut scene also costs less to develop for.
He is way too stubborn with pre-rendered cut scene, as if he is trying to prove that Spirits Within wasn't a bad idea and Square did need that technology.

No need to defend blu-ray,the next generation DVDof choice.
But c'mon. If you're going to defend DVD9, which is responsible for day/nighttracks cut out of PGR4, the reason why Square chose PS3 over360 for FFXIII, less maps in UT3 and Gears of War and multiple disc RPGs, and whoknows what else we don't know about at least try and use sane excuses, instead of GREAT! 4 DVDs is a GREAT value! LOL indeed.
Face it, blu-ray is awesome. DVD9 isn't

I'm not lazy, I can change a disc every 10-12 hours.
I believe it would be better fitting if there were two lasts in the statement. So last Gen....

If they want to "downgrade" the audio and not make it region free, then probably won't happen. But, if they want to keep the best audio quality they want from the PS3 and put multiple languages in it, then it will happen.

I agree, how can anyone actually say, seriously, that you would rather have the same game on four disks than on the same one.
I mean not caring if its on one disk or four is one thing, but prefering four instead of one, you cant be serious.

That's fine, but I think most would agree that a box set of four DVD's for one rpg in the year 2008 is a bit archaic.

Heavenly Sword pretty much filled up a Blu-ray disc and it's only 8 hours....Yay! :|

I don't think we really care, as long as we play it. We wouldn't go "Oh nah I perfer 4 over 1" but more so "Its not that important" Thou I do like the feeling after you beat 10 hour disc, and continue on.
