lol what the hell happened to heavy rain?

yeh i definitely see the downgrade in the graphics department but i lost interest when they said it wasnt really a video game more like an interactive movie but well see how it is in the end

That clip reminded me of the old BladeRunner videogame for PC. Anyone ever play it? It didn't get great reviews but I enjoyed it.

Edit: I couldn't find the PC Gamer review, but it only got a 6.0 on Gamespot... Oh well.

It was a real hawt game though man, especially if youre a fan of the movie. I played it when I was about 12 though, and hadn't seen the film then. It, like Heavy Rain, was basically an interactive movie, but it had GREAT script, voice acting, characters, story, everything. Years later when I watched the movie, I thought about the game and its parallel story and how well the two complemented each other. I guess the game would be really dated by now, but it was a very special game to me. Plus there were strip clubs :D.

I don't know what you're talking about, TC. The game looks almost the same as the first gameplay trailer. The only problems I see are with framerate and animations.

The main problem I have with the scene is that its stupid. The character looks awkward and out of place in that situation.

What's with all the Heavy Rain bashing threads lately??? I bet this game will be another AAAE for the PS3. Im buying it on day one. The graphics look good to me and it's still at least a year away from being released.

the last screenshot is shown in a 20min gameplay so you can't say its worser than that, maybe they choosen the wrong enviroment to show off infront of graphic whores.shadowkiller11

seeing as how you're the only one making the argument that the game looks the same i'd say the odds are on my side ;)

Every dev needs to take a hint from the Silent Hill 3 team when it comes to character models.

Graphics wise......yeah, I can see what your talking about. But anyone bashing the games concept clearly no nothing about the gaming medium. Only in games can you have dynamic stories which can change at any moment due to your actions. QTE's are just the way you make these decisions. Ultimately what matters is how well told the story in Heavy Rain is, cause thats all the game has going for it.

Killzone 2 was in an "Aplha stage" for the majority of it's development cycle and this game is reportedly only 8 months from release (which includes time after the game has gone gold as well as QA testing).
