What system is KOTOR III gonna be on?  I can't remember if this game sold well or not but the first one was probably my favorite game of last-gen.  This could (if sales were good) be a big 3rd party game for this gen....My guess is 360 since its Bioware.

Nope. With the PS3's groundbreaking install base it is obviously going with sony.

10 million 360s VS 2 million ps3s.   Do the math.

Plus the kotor team is arleady familiar with MS, I can't find a logical reason why they'd switch.

It will be a PS3 exclusive. Everyone at BioWare hates their job. They want to spend millions on a game that wont have an install base to buy it. Thus, bankrupting the company, and freeing everyone from their BioWare shackles.

Maybe. :)

BioWare doesn't own the rights for Kotor....LucasArts does. I think Obsidian will be working on Kotor 3, instead. (correct me if I'm wrong...I haven't been keeping up lately on Kotor news).

There has yet to be any official announcement regarding KOTOR III; however, since the first two games came out on the PC/Xbox, I'm guessing a third game, if it comes out anytime soon, will be released for the PC/Xbox360.

Bioware has nothing to do with the KOTOR series any more.

It's possible that Obsidian would make it PC-exclusive (like NWN2), but I guess that they'd only take the project if Lucasarts doesn't screw them over again and edit out the last third of the game (like they did with KOTOR 2).

NWN2 was a sequel to a game that was already PC exclusive, though, so that made sense.

Though actually, the third KOTOR game could easily come out for more than just PC/Xbox360. They're going to need to make a new engine for it anyways, so I wouldn't be too surprised if it came out for the PS3 as well, and maybe even for the Wii.

Both Kotor 1 and 2 are million sellers. Kotor 3 will be released on 360 and PC, don't know if it will make it's way to the PS3.

Despite some issues, KotOR II was pretty good, so if Obsidian made the third game I'd be pretty excited for it, especially if they were given plenty of dev time.

IMHO, Kotor II story> Kotor I story, except for the ending, which was rushed.

If BioWare OR Obsidian is developing it, you'll probably only see it on the PC and 360. We'll probably see Obsidian working on it..and quite honestly that doesn't bother me in the least bit after seeing what they could do with NWN2.

Yeah, I wish it was Bioware though, I did enjoy KOTOR I more than KOTOR II.  That twist in KOTOR I was just........WOW, what a game.

KotOR 2 was excellent considering the game was being rushed by LucasArts and the team was given limited funding for the project. The original KotOR was better, sure..but given more time I think Obsidian could've made a game on par, or even better than the original.

Heh..I kinda saw it coming, but it was still a cool twist. They gave a few too many hints earlier in the game.

Speaking of which, if you have the PC version of KotOR II, you should check out The Sith Lords Restoration Project. It's a fan-made mod that's attempting to restore a decent amount of the cut content. They can't restore everything, of course, but they seem to be restoring quite a bit of cool content, from the ending and other places. They're still in testing, but they seem to be getting pretty close to finishing it now.
