Which game has better:

Story? I like both but the deception in KZ3's is more interesting and Reach is more emotional. Reach has far less cutscenes whereas KZ3 tends to have loads of small ones that break up the action

Gameplay? Both are fun

Music? Have to give it to Reach but KZ3s guns sound better

Multiplayer? Reach x1000000

Boxart? Both are equall

Manual? Reach by far

Back of box description? Both are equal

Ending Credits? havent finished KZ3 but Halos ending is just awesome

Played the beta. I enjoyed it but after doing a bit more reseach i still think Reach beats it. I havn't played the full game but i doubt i'd be liking it more than Reach.

Story? Reach

Gameplay? Reach only because of the more thoughtful pacing. KZ3 didn't seem to space out highs and lows in a way that served the overall game.

Music? Reach. Marty O'Donnell's work sound more distinctive

Multiplayer? Reach, no question. Online co-op and near infinite amount of customization. Forge, Theater. There's just more to do

Boxart? Reach because it features the heroes of the game. Killzone's has the enemy as the iconic cover character.

Manual? Really? I'd call this one a wash also

Back of box description? Tie

Name? Killzone has a generic sound to it. Halo: Reach is relevant to the lore.

Start menu? Tie

Ending Credits? Tie

Achievments/Trophies? Tie.

Graphics: Killzone 3. This includes the animation which impressed me most about the visuals.

Anyway to answer the ones that are actually relevant, story goes to Killzone 3 the Helghast were very interesting and it's also a nice touch that Rico is actually cool in this one. The gameplay in Reach's singleplayer is a bit better than Killzone 3, it has less on rail sections and it's vehicle sections are fun.

Music is tied.

But both of these games are the strongest in their multiplayer and in the multiplayer Killzone takes the win, the gunplay is better, the maps are better and the classes are fun to use and upgrade.

Graphics is Killzone, match that with the animations and gunplay, you have some top quality combat.

A lot of those categories are pretty pointless as far as judging a game goes, but as somone who has played a lot of both games I like KZ3 more, Halo has just gotten bland to me, and Reach didn't do anything to make me think differently

I can see people saying that Reach has the better story and better features in multiplayer because it I think it probably does. For the people bashing KZ3 and calling it a failure, etc, just understand that Killzone 3 probably has some of the best gun play of any FPS this gen. Even though the campaign story isn't amazing and the characters aren't either, killing helgast and other types of enemies was extremely satifying and fun (the WASP, brutal melee, killing people wearing jetpacks, the arc gun, the machine pistol). The animations are superior, the gunplay is superior, the sound design is superior, and the overall immersion is incredible. For FPS's I want one that make it fun kill enemies. It's not fun for me in games like Call of Duty where you are moving enemies down, there's not much variety in how to kill them, and they infinitely respawn. Reach is better than call of duty in this aspect, but the gun play only SLIGHTLY improved from Halo 3. It's still not up there with KZ2, BC2, and KZ3.

Story: Reach, didn't realize KZ3 had a story:P

Gameplay: Reach.

Music: This one isn't even fair, the Halo games have always had great music.

Multiplayer: Haven't played KZ3 MP, but given how awesome Reach's is with all the modes, forge world, etc...definitely going with Reach.

Boxart: Reach once again, really do not like KZ3's box art at all.

Sound Effects(Missed out...)- Killzone 3's bullet shots, impact sounds, explosions etc. create a MUCH more real and believe-able warzone....

Multiplayer-Intense, hectic, realistic, bloody, MORE replayable, longer lasting, more challenging=KZ3

Halo. Read some reviews of Killzone 3. GameSpot, for instance, stated that KZ3's story was awful.No contest here. Halo consists of an epic saga telled in a great way by the talented crew at Bungie.

Gameplay?

Halo is known for its gameplay. It's what makes it successful. Killzone? Clumsy controls that were criticized by pretty much everyone. Also a bad CoD clone.

Music?

Halo, no arguing here. Its soundtracks makes the game a lot more interesting to play. We can't say the same about Killzone, which is traditionally abandoned one month after its initial release.

Multiplayer?

:lol: Halo destroys Killzone. I think everyone on this site is aware of this, so no explanation is necessary.

I haven't played KZ3 but I'd just like to ask why people are saying the title "Killzone 3" is better than Halo:Reach?

It sounds like a hyperactive 11 year old thought of that and then stuck a number on the end of it.

I've heard the KZ series is great but the name cannot do it any justice. If I'd never heard of it and someone recommended it to me, the first impression I'd get of it would be a horrible Japanese knock-off that tries to be as Western as possible and fails miserably in every regard.

KZ3 destroys Halo: Reach with or without it's Sharpshooter compatibility. However, with the Sharpshooter this isn't even a contest.
