I also thought it was intresting it has
-3x the draw distance of KZ2
-3x more polygons
-4x better texture quality

It's probably true, to be honest. 5 year old hardware will run out of juice at some point. Hopefully a PS4 is announced E3 for a 2013 release. With that said, I wouldn't expect the game to look TOO much better than what we've already seen, but I doubt Kz3 will disappoint as far as the visuals are concerned.

Amazing how those things count now :lol:,when same is mentioned about some xbox 360 games it doesn't count,100% and looks the same as killzone 2 LOL.

So it has the potential to have better texture quality. Doesn't mean it actually has better textures. Thats up to the artists.
Not really impressed by consoles anymore. They ran out of juice the moment Crysis launched. I ran Crysis on mixture of low and high settings with just 7800GS, Pentium 4, and 2GB of RAM at 1280x1024. It ran fairly well up until the snow and final levels. They're wasting their time with this hardware.
I'm impressed when the Wii can pull off good visuals. Also when the DS and PSP can do the same. Other than that consoles have never impressed with their smoke and mirrors.

Maybe they are telling the truth, but yet somehow I am not seeing this incredible 3x jump in graphical fidelity. I must be blinded by my biases...TheSterls

Yea because you know so many peopel will buy KZ3 based off it having 4x the texture quality.Devlopers are asked technical questions about there games and they answer them you think they do it for hype purposes? Hell the next COD will out sell it by 5x and look like complete trash, they realize graphics are not going to make the game sell.

Something makes me highly doubt that they have 4x the texture quality,I can assure you, there are some piss-poor textures in some parts of the game (from what I've seen in videos and what not), but these are mostly small objects that aren't too important, or aren't meant to be seen up close. With that said, the environments look jam packed with a lot more detail then in Kz2, and character models seem a lot better this time around as well.

Who said it doesnt count when the 360 makes improvements? The problem is the 360 still cant make a game that looks better then PS3 exclusives from 2009. Hell you havent heard the media rave about a 360's visuals since the original Gears of War , since then its been all about hte PS3 exclusives and as a owner of both consoles its easy to see why.

And yet here we are discussing graphics, here we have developers talking about graphics, here we have millions of dollars spent on updating and creating new engines to make better graphics, here we have graphics quotes being placed on the back of box arts. If you run Crysis on max settings on a GTX 285 you must love slideshows. you'd get ~ 15 fps. mid 20s for a gtx 280/286 on 1080p with 2x AA actually. CCC mod looks better runs 30-40fps.Please Log In to post.
