Killzone 2 vs Halo

Alright i would appreciate a post by someone who has played both games and is not just a ps3 or xbox fanboy. i have played both and i still say Killzone 2 (not just because im a ps3 fanboy, cause even my 360 fanboy friend agrees). Cause the campaign is alot more epic, the online has better weapons, and the graphics are much better.

I liked Killzone 2, really liked the darker aatmosphere of KZ2 and overall war torn world aspect. Halo has always been meh to me couldn't get into the world and think master chief is meh at best.

Master chief just doesn't connect, tbh a bad char design for a main char tbh

I haven't played much Halo 3 multiplayer, but in terms of single player, KZ2 crushes Halo 3. Graphics and sound are also on another level for KZ2.wstfld

4 player co-op in Halo 3 > killzone 2

I thought halo 3 was alot of fun. I got very bored very fast of killzone 2

He is saying that KZ2 is realistic, and it is not, I never said halo was.

IMO KZ2 is a lot more fun than Halo 3. My friend was playing it once, i got bored rather quickly.

pretty much this, but still Halo 3 has lots of stuff going on with explosions and gunfire but still holds the fps steady.

Killzone 2 blows Halo 3 away in terms of graphics, but I liked Halo 3's overall gameplay and story better.

Sounds like you would feel at home in Halo 3.

/sigh again? Well like I said before, I prefer Killzone 2 because the Helghast themselves have much more personality than anyhting in Halo. Halo are fun and good FPS games but I lean a bit toward Killzone simply because of the background lore.RadecSupreme

Not to say your opinion is wrong or anything but, you are aware that Halo is pretty much second only to Star Wars interms of the scope and size of its universe and lore right?

I don't even own a 360, I have a PS3 and Killzone 2, and what you said is false on every level.

KZ2,but I like halo 3 MP and thats about it.

Killzone is the better EXPERIENCE.

Halo is the better GAME. I hate the online in that game, flood of losers ruin it. Play co-op instead :)

The thing I like about halo is it's smaller teams and pacing make teamwork more effective. Killzone feels like everybody is running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Although I like how Killzone has classes.

Halo, obviously. Killzone 2 really isn't very fun. I found Fall of Man to be more enjoyable.

dunno but i like Killzone 2 better specially the multiplayer is so addictive also find halo to be a slower but anyway there both good games.

okay here is an honest opinion, f the console war idiocy. Halo's storyline is epic, and has some omg moments, the reason i play video games. Master chief and Avery are great characters and despite not being into sci fi, i can really get into the story. Now the 'this game is great but this isnt' stuff, when you shoot an enemy you dont feel it or get the same satisfaction as in kz2. also the enviorments between the epic moments are okay but really kind of dead if u know what i mean its like the old serious same games running(or driving)around shooting up the same guys with similar/the same roadblocks. also in halo you end up having to use crappy alien weapons than urs due 2 crap ammo running out alot, also i prefer griity games, always have, and kz2 is gritty. Graphically, tbh not much between them not as much as ppl try 2 claim. Kz2 has better weapons, and halo is way wayyyy better online. Personally i like games that draw me in and provide me with those great moments, which is why i prefer halo. As a game? from a technical point of view, KZ is better, its supposed to be better, but i prefer halo along with the majority of ppl

I'd put Halo over Killzone 2 any day of the week. Graphically Killzone 2 cheats and it's pretty distracting to me. They make the FOV so narrow that it destroys your peripheral vision. It's like looking through a goddamn visor and Sev doesn't wear a visor.They did this so that they have all of this stuff happening around you and not have the framerate dip to where it's unplayable. That combined with the controls killed it for me.

I just had more fun playing Halo 3. I'm not a Halo player by any means, but playing 4 player legendary was pretty awesome.

I have to say HALO. The entire HALO Series reminds me of classic Space Opera, where as Killzone feels more like it's just World War II's European Theater moved into space. HALO also has a nice variety of environments ranging from forests to cities to downed Coveneant Warships and the Covenant Capital, and the series offers up a wide variety of enemies ranging from the weakling grunts to the fearsome Elites and Flood. Killzone is simply ruined city after ruined city or junkyard after junkyard, fighting what amounts to the same enemy time and again, and with the Helghast it's hard to tell who's an Imperial Guard, who's an officer, or who's a lowely grunt

halo, especially for forge on sandbox, making levels and stuff. It's really sweet.

The only thing Halo is good for is LAN parties. I was at a friend's house 2 nights ago playing Zombie on Halo 3 with 8 people and it was amazing. Killzone 2 has a better single player, and the online is very good if you just want to play by yourself and level up to access the new classes and weapons. Halo isn't as good as Killzone 2 in those respects, but for LAN parties, it's great.
