i can safely say that God of War 3 will be the greatest looking game EVER. on EARTH. (besides Crysis, DAMMIT.)
the thing with the GoW series is that it never used any ''tricks'' into making you believe it had pretty graphics. it used an array of colors. not that silly same color rendering motion-blur crap that gears of war used. gameplay wise, it will be as brutal as ever. mock me all you want, God of War is ten times the game that Ninja Gaiden was. yes, yes, Ninja Gaidens combat system is leaps and bounds beyond God of War's, but God of War is a billion times more epic, AND fun. nobody here can sit here and tell me they didn't feel like a true demigod as they beat God of War 2 on titan mode.
and Kratos was 25 times more interesting than Ryu Hayabusa. and no, i'm not being biased. i've beaten Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Gaiden Black, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma, all on very hard. (working on Master Ninja.) and without a doubt, its the most complex action/adventure game ive ever played. but it doesnt give me that same feeling that GoW gives me. NG only had 1 useful weapon. the dragon sword. everything else was pretty much useless save for the vigoorian flail when fending off against those ancient fish. (damn they were annoying.)

you never know. there isn't one PC that can run Crysis in all it's glory. and when the new line of Nvidia cards come out, not many will drop the cash just to run a couple of games on max settings.

There are people who are already waiting for the next line up of DX10 cards
GOW 3 will be like GOW on PS2... Look like crap in most places. Then you will have a massive jump in GOW 4 like you seen in GOW 2 on PS2... Because they got used to the hardware and most of the issues were known by then.
So I'm expecting GOW 3 to look mostly average with some EYE:shock: popping areas like the first one. GOW 4 (if there is one) killing the titans?... Will be something awesome to see.

the rich, maybe. why spend so much on graphics, when you could have innovation on consoles? PC games tend to look pretty, but play very... boring. (except for HL series.) FC was great no doubt, but it was repetitive as hell, and while i got nothing against repetitive games (i loved AC), GS praised it as being some super cool sandbox game, when in fact it became VERY linear during the later levels.

Maybe or maybe not. The U3 engine is great and all but other studio's proprietary engines are proving that the Unreal Engine this gen is not as great as it was last gen. Gears 2 will look great no doubt but I doubt it will look as good or better than a few other games out at the time. Gears wasn't exactly the graphics powerhouse everyone likes to say it was, it looks awesome but it sacrifices a lot.

Get real. Compared to all these "next" gen games it's a decent length and GoW is so good you want to play it more than once. GowII was amazing. My GOTY so far.
You claim it's dosn't use any ticks. It mixes pre-rendering with polygonal graphics. And people say RE Remake dosn't count becuse it uses pre-rendering.

GoW and GoW2 were as long as games need to be. I hate games that are longer than needed just so they can say "yeah, its 30hrs of gameplay." the first game that comes to mind is Zelda: TP. Look, dont flame me but towards the end of the game it began to feel like a chore playing it. I wasnt playing it because i was having fun anymore, i just wanted to say i beat it and see the ending. In my opinion a game that leaves you begging for more is better than a leaves you begging for it to end. And GoW games leave you begging for more in a good way. Unlike Halo2 which was bassically half a game single player wise(it seems like they just stopped the game at an arbitrary point) GoW2 felt u feeling satisfied but at the same time pumped up for the next installment.

7 hours PROBABLY on the easiest setting. but on Titan, easily 15 or more hours. and if you try to look for all the urns, gorgon eyes, and phoenix feathers, thats a couple more hours.

couldn't have said it any better. unlocking the different costumes and then using the different urns was a blast, then replaying the game on God mode with said urns and costumes was even better.

well, taking a look back at how much care was put into each installment, i can safely say it will dominate the action adventure genre.
