Japanese Shop Sells Xbox One S as Ultra HD Blu-Ray Player

As you can see in the photos, courtesy of YouTuber Gaijin Hunter, the product is not offered as what it is: a video game console. To make matters worse, the console is offered with messages like “Super cheap!” and “Recommended!”. The height of this situation is that at the bottom it reads: “If it’s Xbox One S, you can also play video games.”

If you wonder if this strategy will work, you should know that weekly sales report that in Japan only 63 units of Xbox One were sold. If you thought this painful situation could not go any further, a user on Twitter shared a photo of his newly acquired Xbox One S and assured that he bought it to watch the hit anime “Your Name” in UHD Blu-ray video format.

Sounds like what Sony wants to do too. Focus on story based stuff and leave the gaming as a secondary means. These companies are forgetting what gaming is all about.

Exactly why I put "fresh game" in quotation marks. Zelda fans are losing their shit because it's the first true open world Zelda but many of us who have been playing open world games for more than a decade aren't particularly impressed. It's a good game but from a gameplay perspective there's nothing particularly fresh about it.

I can tell you upfront as far as open world game goes, I actually like and enjoy Horizon: Zero Dawn then I did for Breath of the Wild. Zero Dawn was a new IP game fresh from Sony vs a well known Zelda game we all love for decades and while Breath of the Wild had a good open world to it, I wasn't heavy drawn in as I was for Zero Dawn.

Witcher 3 is still by far the better open world game of all times follow by Zero Dawn.
