It's not a new gen if all the games are just ports

I'm sorry but next gen is definitely not beginning this year when the Series X and PS5 are out. I guess we'll have to wait for another couple of years to truly get a next gen title.

Meh. I’m still going to get an Xbox Series X at launch and enjoy all the games that I get for it. It doesn’t really matter to me. 🤷‍♂️

It's risky for devs to make games for smaller number of potential buyers. If releasing versions for both helps ease them into next gen until it's safe to focus on solely that hardware, I am fine with that. Better that than to see one game under-performing resulting in talented studios going under.

The PS5 will for sure have games that aren't on PS4. Ex. Godfall

And honestly, I don't think Sony's 1st party will do many cross gen games. It's more likely that they upgrade and / or continue to sell PS4 exclusives on PS5. Games like Horizon, Spiderman, God of War, Death Stranding, TLOU2, Days Gone, Ghost of Tshushima etc. should continue to sell for a while.

you are right horizon zero dawn 2 was going to be a ps4 but shifted to ps5, days gone 2 ps5 there hiring for 3d audio. and spider man 2 will be ps5 as well.

this is another reason why im going ps5 first. I will get series x once i see games i want and when they drop xbox one x.
