I bought deathloop, played it for 20 minutes and got bored. It's no bioshock infinite, that's for sure.

Give me Battlefront 2 over CoD: Vanguard. Or better yet, give me Halo: Infinite.

I LOVE battlefront 2.

I downloaded Vanguard for its free 4 day trial, deleted it after 3 matches. It's just a reskinned MW, but absolutely worse in every way (which is saying something because mMW was awful itself).

I'm confused. Vanguard also has microtransactions along with the 60-70 USD price tag.

At least Halo is free and the MTX isn't even useful in the game.

I'm actually enjoying Vanguard. It reminds me of Allied Assault in some ways. Just wacky run and gun gameplay.

Age of Empire IV is the only online game that matters.

I dunno, saw a video of how dumb the AI is and I would imagine it sucks the fun out of the game.

Even with the MTX in Halo…Halo shits on both of these. MTX and progression suck but it doesn’t affect the base gameplay. Especially the MTX…it’s all cosmetic 😂

Having only seen videos on Battlefield 2042 and Vanguard but having played Halo: Infinite I will say that Halo: Infinite is the best FPS game this year hands down. Vanguard does look and sound to be much better then Battlefield 2042 though.

No, CoD isn’t good any year. Battlefield is mid. Halo is actually fun.

Just because Halo has microtransactions doesn't make the actual game bad... The purchases are optional.

Honestly the first-person action/shooter genre was always one of my favorites, but it's taken a real nosedive in the past few years.

Far Cry? Battlefield? Call of Duty? Halo? These are the shooters we are supposed to be excited about?

I’ve given up on Call of Duty years before,Battlefield 2042 is still playable in my opinion but neither compares to Halo Infinite.

I have only played Call of Duty Warzone this year and i wasn't impressed.

Returnal gets my vote, but I'll revisit once Halo releases.

I played a little bit of Vanguard but haven't picked up the new BF yet. Wasn't impressed by Vanguard, and I heard a lot of negative things about BF.

Having only played BF 2042 extensively, I can say that as of now, 2042 isn’t even in the runnings, which actually hurts me to say for 2 reasons:

1. Having not only bought and played, but also bought all of the dlc’s for every entry (except for Hardline), I can say that I have been a diehard fan of the series since Bad Company.

2. At the core, I can see 2042 being a very well rounded shooter. However with the massive amount of bugs, the missing features that have been in every entry since 1942 (I’m looking at you missing scoreboard and non existent in game voice chat), the many step backwards, and the general feeling of an incomplete title gravely put 2042 at the shallow end of the “worth it” category, and the smug attitude from EA doesn’t help 2042 case in any way, shape, or form.

Having okayed only like an hour of Vanguard with the free trial this past weekend, I really liked what I played and will more than likely be making a purchase. I haven’t played Halo Infinite just yet as I don’t have a xsx yet.

Now, from what I take away from consumers, I see that most who played Vanguard really enjoyed it (mainly the multiplayer), and some - most who played Infinite enjoyed it as well. So I’d say that both Infinite and Vanguard are well rounded shooters.

voted yes. Halo seems to think its still 2007 and battlefield has clunky and imprecise controls. they also think stupidly large maps with respawns and 100 players is fun.

all good FPS delayed next year. I agree.

rather excited for STALKER 2, Shadow warrior, Atomic heart rather than these mainstream AAA titles.

Idk. Vanguard and 2042, both scored a 7 and Halo is sitting at an 8 "review in progress".

Don't know about you but everyone I discuss and talk are all excited for Halo: Infinite alone. Battlefield 2042 & CoD: Vanguard were all hype by the media and when they release, nothing but disappointments from gamers who put their expectation high were all upset/disappointed.

Halo is way different since it doesn't release every year and taking the game's time in development does help and why Halo is still fun to play. Even Deathloop as a brand new shooter turned out to be good than anyone expected. The whole FPS genre isn't exactly dead, the issue comes from CoD & Battlefield aren't as fun as they used to be and I think both of those games need to be on hiatus.

Edit: Even I had fun with Cyberpunk 2077, so much for FPS being dead now? FPS isn't dead, just lack of innovation is the problem cause CoD & Battlefield aren't innovating anything.

No way BF 2077 deserved a 7/10... 4/10 is more like it.

if they could put vanguard on switch, my head and butt would explode. It's best played on playstation though, no other pc or system can handle it like ps5 can.

Its better than Battlefield (i can't believe Dice made me say this), but its not as good as Halo.
