Where is your reasoning for this? Seriously people, if we don;t have an intricate understanding of how businesses work, and the assets etc they hold, do NOT try and draw conclusions. If you are wrong, you just look plain silly.

the funny this is, the definition of enterprise value is Enterprise value (EV), Total enterprise value (TEV), or Firm value (FV) is an economic measure reflecting the market value of the whole business. It is a sum of claims of all the security-holders: debtholders, preferred shareholders, minority shareholders, common equity holders, and others. Enterprise value is one of the fundamental metrics used in business valuation, financial modeling, accounting, portfolio analysis, etc. (source wiki)

again, market value does not show how rich a company is, Assets do, and total equity is the total assets after all liabilities are paid (this is the money share holders get after all liabilities are paid)....surely u understood this "Enterprise value = a sum of claims of all the security-holders: debtholders, preferred shareholders, minority shareholders, common equity holders" before u copy pasted it?

THEREFORE i would need 32 billion dollars to BUY sony and become the OWNER, why is it so HARD for you to understand it?
Meaningless. A companies value is measured by market cap.even http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/08q4_sony.pdf
states 122 billion total assets :) tell me where it says 200?

once Again, we are not talking about Market Value, we are talking about who is the RICHER company, and Asset is the TOTAL CASH and TOTAL CASH VALUE of everything they own. that means if both companies decided to get all there money together to see who is richer, sony would stand with 200 billion, and microsoft would stand with 73 billion....even http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/08q4_sony.pdf
