Is it about time we had an Aquaman game?

I'm more of a Seaman fan

i voted no because....yknow....it's aquaman.

however thinking about it a bit more he could actually be a good character for a game. i mean you get to swim around the ocean (basically flying), command sealife (could be useful for combat, puzzles, strategy elements...think pikmin or sacrefice), combat would be grand, king of atlantis (city building, resource management). you probably do have the basis for a solid game there.

it's just....yknow.....it would be an aquaman game......

Namor has better chances getting a game then Aquaman since Namor is the Marvel's Atlantis King after all.

There already has been an Aquaman game, back on gamecube I think? It didn't go down well. I'm not saying this one couldn't. Heck, just about any character could star in a good game if made right. I'd rather see a new Judge Dredd game though. Or an Alan Partridge game. Where Alan has to kill his way to a second series.

There was an Aquaman game on the Xbox -- might've also been put on on the GC -- that was so bad, the show X-Play named the awards it handed out to the worst of the year "The Golden Mullets."

I'm one of those weird people who tend to really like water levels in games, so I'm all for it. Could be something new if a talented studio really went all in on creating the best underwater combat system and movement of all times.

Think Aquaman is way better for a game than Superman, that's for sure.

Will be the same one then. I remember it being the superman 64 of that gen. But like I say, it's not the characters fault necessarily.

Well the problem is, people are ignorant to what Aquamans powers are. He doesn't just talk to fish and swim well. He can handle the crushing pressure of the bottom of the ocean which makes him near bullet proof (.50 cal maybe not), he has super human strength, not to Superman's level but he can bring it. Being he can move through water at a high speed, his legs can propel him through the air much like the Hulk albeit not as far as the miles Hulk can cover in one leap.

He has always been a cool comic character that the 1960's and 70's through 80s cartoons gave a weak impression of. Give me a game with that wonderful under the ocean world with different factions and cities and I'm all in. The movie was as good as Black Panther imo.

@cainetao11: Don't forget his eyes can adjust to the light or lack of too, essentially meaning he can see in the dark.

And honestly, I thought it was better than Black Panther, I loved it.

good call. I liked BP a lot I just dont see it as best picture material if Avengers or the Dark Knight couldn't get the nod

The movie did really well, so why not? Judge Dredd got his own great game (Dredd vs Death), and he is quite the minor comic character in the USA.

Underwater holds an incredible amount of potential that sadly hasn't been tapped into for whatever reason. It's just as a compelling location as space is. Just takes some good developers to commit to making an amazing underwater game.
