are these games going to be doing any kind of patch or update to match mr butler statement about GT5 in his commercial or are they gonna roll over an just take it?

Is GT5 gonna have a patch to match Forza's interiors(in numbers) as well? And add a livery editor while you're at it.
Just because a game has 1000 of anything doesn't necessarily mean its good. Just look at the Dynasty Warriors and Ninety Nine Nights series.

There's a lot of Lemmings in Lemmings though, thas fun :DI'm going to get GT5 but your kidding if you think it will have realistic damage. Every video I've seen shows to be very limited, and only 200 cars will actually have damage. Forza 3 has over 400 cars, most of them premium, all with damage modelling
Will GT5 sell 15+ million copies in like 2 years?are these games going to be doing any kind of patch or update to match mr butler statement about GT5 in his commercial or are they gonna roll over an just take it?

IncentiveHere's a better question.
What's stopping Forza 3, assuming they even want to go back and not release a newer game, from patching more features and cars into it?
AncientDozer
just to shoot you down I'm gonna make a list :)
so what does it have?
(don't take t too seriously guys)

forza 4. lets be logical here guys, if you go by the community of forza 3 they have some really fantastic ideas on what to put in the next game. Weather, how to improve painting, tuning, physics, and AI. Heck the community has specific ways to fix the issues. Now since GT5 is finally comming out its a threat to Forza. you really think that T10, a dev that has always listened to thier fanbase is going to ignore these suggestions? I mean honestly T10 probably has read the thread they sticked to "Game improvments" back in febuary 2010 100 times over. If you're to go read it now they have ideas such as movable lights in the showroom so that the paint job is visible and easy to edit, ideas on ways effects can take less resources while looking better. They tell T10 specifically what the game needs. Drifters want better smoke effects, racers want weather systems, qualifying laps, and more aggresive AI, Newcommers want the auto braking to have a slider and a toggle so that they can control thier progress and assistance better, painters want a brighter showroom, tuners want a btter HUD while tuning so they know exactly whats going on inside the car, and sellers want a revamped store front with a lot of improvments. seriously guys forget amount of content because if you're dediicated to forza 3 there's loads more to do.gt5 kills forza's interiorsIs GT5 gonna have a patch to match Forza's interiors as well? Read a few posts below that.
I don't think I can get into this fight since I don't play racing games...but I was under the impression that along with the very few cars that actually had realistic damange in GT5...it wasn't very realistic and looked quite bad...then there is the whole out of 1000 cars like 200 have interiors with the rest just being grey boxes or something inside.
eh either way I don't like racing games so Gt5 being a sony game means nothing its a racing game and I wont like it.
Dude the damage modeling in Forza is hilariously bad, two veyrons collide with each other head on at top speed and all they get is a heavily scratched up exterior. :| All 1,031 cars in GT5 will have damage, the 200 premium cars will just have a more detailed damage model. And Forza has premium models? The best looking cars in Forza are barely on par with the standard cars in GT5. :|I'm going to get GT5 but your kidding if you think it will have realistic damage. That's not true at all. Forza 3 damage is nowhere near "hilariously bad." I'm pretty sure you can make any sim look bad when you cherry pick. I mean, it's been done with GT5 several times already. And Forza 3 models look better than standard GT5 cars. Premium GT5 cars beat it, of course.
And Forza has premium models? The best looking cars in Forza are barely on par with the standard cars in GT5. :| Rockman999Right....like that Miata which doesnt even look as good as Forza1 on forst xbox. Lets be honest...while premiums looks better than FM3 cars, standards are MUCH uglier. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PTrGhnOEAk&t=3m24s
Your thread makes no sense at all oO I'm pretty sure there should be millions of cars in MNR already, does it make MNR superior to GT5? oO Your logic is flawed sir

Froza has different levels of damage, so at the thighest setting, if 2 cars at top speeds crash head on, and the engines are in the front, both cars would barely be able to run after, if the engines in the back, it has a better chance, but it will never drive in a straight line again
If polyphony counts 50 Skylines as separated cars then Forza with its tuning and livery editor can have endless number of cars :P (dont take it too serious:P)Magik85
also poly includes random cars that no one has ever heard of that you would never ever race, its 1000 cars, but 500 different and unique cars :)
Is GT5 going to be compatible with COD:BO and so I can drive viper while pal is in passenger seat taking out other guys wheels?

Quality > quanatity :)then it's a good thing Forza went with 400 cars with intereriors instead of 1000 cars where only some of them have interiors :)

So which one went with for the quality over quantity? :P

I tend to agree with you, here. Were there even interiors in Prologue? Let me get this straight, some cars in GT5 won't even HAVE interiors? That's kind of a disappointment. I can understand that modelling 1000 cars with exceptional detail would take a lot of time, but still...

Really? Wow, that stinks. Well, it would be nice if the cars that won't have interiors would just use 'base' interiors. As in, a Mustang from '70 would just use an interior model from the later 60s. I'm curious as to how this will work, as sony is pushing 3D pretty big with this games release--an area the interiors plan an integral part.

Wrong, all cars have damage. diffrence is, 800 have low damage. Burnout 3 light damage. Honestly I'm dissapointed in GT5 soey because of standard cars and premium cars. I mean why 1000 cars if you can't keep the consistant? Standard cars seriously would get in the way of having fun. no customizable wheels, no interiors, way less detail? honestly I would take Forza 3 collectors edition over GT5 (come black firday I will) because I can do so much with each of tose cars. I think GT5 will be great though. plenty of Eye candy and probably really fun to drive too. But I like customization its the only thing that held me from buying Dirt 2 for 40$ (will wait for 30) Honestly I feel forza 3 as a biger game with more content because each car has so much to do with it, I can paint it, tune it to perfection, customize engines Drivetrain, and make it a perfect as it could be. Then when I get bored of it I can sell it for credits to soop up other cars. Forza's physics (going by all the GT5 demos) is better than GT5s by quite a bit and thats matters a lot in a sim. honestly to each person thier own but people saying GT5 will eat forza 3 alive should give it a rest. Please Log In to post.
