IMO, Team Fortress 2 has yet to be touched for pure, fun, online multiplayer.

Whatever happened to games being fun? I've picked up Team Fortress 2 again lately and haven't been able to put it back down. It still, 4 days before its 2 year anniversery, has an amazing online community, great mechanics, teamwork, and variety. Sure Call of duty and Halo have good multiplayer, but I, for one, have noticed that the gameplay starts regressing from fun into a grind of sorts. This is THE game to show that flashy graphics and fancy doo-dads are not synonomous with fun. Discuss.

Yes, but it makes the learning curve fun in a way I cannot explain, and there are 9 classes to learn.

TF2 is fun, and offers a lot of personality that makes it a great multiplayer experience, but understand that fun is subjective and opinionated. There will always be someone that will see a game as 'more fun' than others.

Well more content can enchance the gameplay and more players can add to the fun. It is a lot better on PC though, very, very, healthy community, better controls (IMO) and a ton of support for your characters and etc. No lag is also great (95% of the time)

That is what I really love about TF2. It's just so much fun. When your team is in sync and everything starts going right it is gaming ecstasy, and even when your team is a mess and you know you are going to lose you can wreak havoc on the other team and have a blast too (pyro woot!). There are even matches that are nearly impossible to win that are still very fun to play. (maps with the max number of players with instant respawns that run for hours on end, although I did manage to almost capture the last point on one of those once. It was nuts)

umm wow. You are a well rounded player. I barely have any acheivements for the spy, medic, and sniper just because I don't like playing support very much. The scout is my favorite class. I love the pyro as a bringer of chaos, and I really love the heavy on payload.

Mr_Nordquist
I partially agree. Some of the unlocks are great and have enhanced the experience, others have not. But it's still a ton of fun, with loads of maps and full servers. I'm kind of expecting a "Portal: Still Alive" (XBLA standalone version) treatment for TF2 once all the class updates are complete. They've been saying for a long time that they're working on an update, I'd almost be tempted to buy it (considering I already own the PC version).

I do love TF2.

I agree. TF2, and Halo 3, are probably the games that I have had the most fun playing. No flashy graphics, or perk system, just me and a gun. And a lot of people say that TF2 is better on PC, if I liked it on 360, would I like it even more on PC? I would like to know, because if it is, I'll probably buy it for PC.

TF2 isn't even run and gun and it is much better then Halo or Call Of Duty, you actually have to use teamwork rather then a one man team, Halo 3 is a little more team oriented then Call of duty though. The game never gets old because it gets continuous updates and bug fixes.

Lots of "best of" opinion polls today lol.

Anyhow, I'll say Halo tied with CoD. Both of those games have given me an insane amount of fun online, with Bad Company and TF2 coming in a close 3rd and 4th place.

All are great games and I can't say there is any real reason to say any one is better than the rest. Everyone has their own taste.

Halo 3 is just as fun as TF2.II-FBIsniper-II

I think halo is definitely more fun if you are playing with your friends, especially split screen...I've played four on four in the Dorms at college and being able to talk trash and what not is definetly awesome.

But for playing over the internet, even with friends on the other end, i think TF2 is better in that case
