Pretty sure the PS3 didn't have a shot in hell at running it. Orrr, maybe it can but they'd have to gimp it too much. Not sure on that but the game is bringing some "top of the line" PC's to it's knees so there was no hope for a PS3 release.

Every F2P game I've played boils down to two options: either A)Pay to get access to certain weapons/powers etc or B)grind for eternity to unlock one thing. Every time, the paying player has the advantage. Now is it wrong for devs to expect to get paid? No, certainly not. But when you have games that are specifically designed to get players to pay continuous microtransactions to be better than their opponents in battle, it creates an uneven playing field and cheapens the experience.

People point to games like Team Fortress 2 or League of Legends as successes of the F2P model, but those are exceptions, and by no means the standard of what F2P games currently are. And even then, in LoL you still are forced to either grind for hours to unlock new characters or you can make a quick payment to unlock them for you.

I'll happily pay $60, more even, for content in games provided the games are good enough. But F2P is a neverending moneysink that doesn't allow you to pay once to get everything, and that's what I have a problem with.

The paying customer really doesn't get a huge advantage at this game. They still have to earn certs to upgrade a gun that more than likely might be higher rated in on way but it's lower rated in another. They still have to play nearly as much as you to get the certificats to unlock the scopes, the bullets, the silencers or muzzle brakes. All in all it's really not nearly as bad as you make it seem.

Sure they can get boosts but they aren't all that much. If you want a gun that bad then yeah you have to work for it a while but as I said that gun is not overpowered by any means, and every plus it gets a negative. It's actually pretty balanced even though I personaly hate f2p in general.

I freaking love this game, I'm only BattleRank 13 or so, but I am enjoying every minute of the game.

Having a full squad of all my friends while defending or attacking key points with hundreds of other players is so much fun.

This game does look amazing!

In order for it to spread Planetside 2 to other platforms it would have had to have it in the first place, which it doesnt.

If it is a form of selective reading then that would mean that maybe your posts don't have Halo 4 on the mind but it still means that at one point you do bring it up and we're adressing that we're getting sick and tired of seeing that bashing over and over again no matter the topic.
