But just wait till about 2 weeks before the Release for Halo 3............this place will be insanity

Well then, that changes things, and I agree with you, Gears blows Halo 2 away, imo.  But still, I can't see Gears 2 hype reaching the Halo 3 hype.  Halo is just a bigger franchise. And I think Halo 3 will make up for the disappoint a lot of us had with 2.

People these days gears is great but no where near halo's league.

We will wait and see...

Sure Halo 3 hype is pretty huge but just wait till Gears 2 is released. I honestly think Gears 2 will sell more on first day then Halo 3 will on first day. If you think Halo 3 Hype is huge, just wait till Gears 2. The gaming world will stand still for the release of Gears 2. They are going to do some amazing things for the sequel. Gears already owns any game on any console at the moment, and I even Enjoy Gears a great more than I enjoy Halo 3. The sequel will be something amazingBrutonNYC

Firstly, the world stood still for Halo 2's release. It was the biggest day in entertainment history. Halo 3 will dwarf what Halo 2 did. Gears of war is an amazing game, which is without doubt my favourite 360 game, but believe me, it doesn't have a patch on what Halo 2 did for gaming. I didn't take Halo 2 out of the Xbox for 2 years. I've played several other games since Gears came out ( Oblivion and Virtua Tennis) 

If anyone thinks Gears is bigger than Halo..... -smacks head against desk-

IMO Gears was better than Halo 1. I didnt say Halo wasnt a good game, I just think it is ungodly hyped.

Not hyped, it would be overrated.

But no, it's not. Everything about it is just top notch. Seriously, if it weren't for Gears's graphics, the cred it has around here would not be as big as it is.

I'm going to put my review up of Gears soon. It seems the only people that think it's better than Halo are those who jumped on the bandwagon when the 360 launched.
