Yes but Battlefield wasn't Teh popular game back then. Everybody was stuck in Tom Clancy land. Tom Clancy's games was nice though Yes but Battlefield 2 Modern Combat was even better. The kids didnt really pay attention until EA stuck Jay Z in a battlefield commercial. Then the hype started.

'HD graphics'? Well, BF2 already is in HD resolutions. Do you mean the console spinoff? Either way it won't get a re-release, it'll be competing with their current products and it's extremely different to the BF console outings. Which is why BF2 MC was so different. Well...

That was BF2: Modern Combat - a spinoff of BF2 made by DICE, which played very differently to the original. It was pretty good for a console shooter imo, actually had a fairly fun multiplayer - you could warp between units by looking at them and hitting a button prompt. Had be done before, but a solid run and gun for consoles. BF Bad Company is the evolution of BF2:MC actually, low and behold. Similar kind of run and gun combat and action slant compared to the other BF games.
No. It would be awful fake console Battlefield 2 (which already came out on the 360), which was a completely different game than actual PC Battlefield 2.
