If it wasnt for BLURAY and FREE PSN..PS3 would fail

Think about it, alot of people bought the PS3 for bluray, i see alot of people comparing which one to get, 360 or ps3 and everyone always mentions "psn is free"

well..if it wasnt free would you still get ps3? lets say it was the same amount of dollars a year as xbox live?

So you're assuming it would have failed without these? Even though it has it's own impressive library.

There are too many variables to narrow it down to 2 specific things.

I thought people felt it was Blu Ray that was making PS3 fail initially because of the price :P

If it weren't for Warranty and Price the Xbox 360 would Fail.

If we were able to skip childhood the Wii would fail.

if the halo series was never original xbox would have died

If the PS3 didn't have Blu-Ray...it would have DVD, The PS3 would have came out a year sooner, and best of all the PS3 would have been WAY Cheaper!:shock:

If the PS3 had DVD and came out when the 360 came out a year sooner, the PS3 would have performed far, far better than it has now in SALES.

Blu-Ray being added to the PS3 was the best thing that could have happened to 360.

From getting a ton of companies to go multiplat, to giving the 360 a full year to build up it's install base, etc.

What you are proposing would have been detrimental to the 360.

A very bleak way of looking at PC gaming there. It too has free online and is Bluray upgradable. Supports incredible mods also.

If the PS3 had DVD and came out when the 360 came out a year sooner, the PS3 would have performed far, far better than it has now in SALES.

Blu-Ray being added to the PS3 was the best thing that could have happened to 360.

I disagree. PS3 has the CELL processor so the games will be superior.

If the PS3 has no Blu-ray and charging for PSN, Xbox 360 would still be beaten by the PS3.

well thats kinda stupid. every console has advantages. So if you take them away, it'd obviously weaker. Thats like saying the wii wouldnt be anything w/o motion controls and mario. Or the 360 would fail if it wasnt for its great online service and halo 3.
