digital games. if gamestop work with sony or xbox and have it were the person that wants to trade a digital game for online credit.

they can give up the rights to be able to download the game again and it goes into a digital cloud to sell it as a used game price. then sell it to someone else.

or we should be able to trade our games with someone else. as long the both give up the rights to download that game again.

make a used game cloud. people can get it cheaper because it be looked at as a used game.

or trade it with another game.

Why would anyone buy games new then? With physical games, there is the condition of the package and disc.

GameStop is an industry vulture. Why do we care about saving them? So you can save $5 on a game? Make pennies on the dollar for trading in a console? No thanks

Gamestop will end this generation.

This is what needs to be done while they still have time. Close all your stores and sell the brand to a large retailer such as Walmart. Then, Walmart could open a huge new section inside their stores that is dedicated to gaming, with the GAMESTOP branding. Since Walmart isn't going anywhere and gaming is only getting bigger, i think it could be a great thing for a large retailer like that. Walmart is already known to be the biggest for random things, but it could also be know to be the best and biggest for anything gaming related. Oh and don't fuckedup your reputation but butf00king your employees.

@goldenelementxl: ‘Why do we care about saving them?’

Because they employ thousands of people around the world and many of them need their jobs for their livelihoods/family?

But what do I know - I mostly buy digital. Discs are a nuisance.

@gifford38: LOL what? Xbox and Sony would just do that through themselves if that was implemented.

Not a bad point. I don't want ANYONE out of a job and struggling. I stand corrected!

People who work at GameStop don't make enough to support a family, let alone themselves. Their pay scale is on the very lowest end of the spectrum. Burn em. Burn em to the ground. They're a garbage company with garbage practices.

What would the difference be between a “used” digital copy and “new” digital copy?

I can understand what you’re trying to do but why would either MS or Sony want this? This would lose them money unless one of them wanted to go full digital.

And yeah, GameStop is useless here. Not needed at all.

@IMAHAPYHIPPO: False. Like any company, they have mangers, regional directors, corporate offices, logistics department, etc etc. All of these positions pay more than min wage.

I've worked in upper management at GameStop. Those people are paid as little as the company can get away with, too.

I am really surprised GameStop is still in business considering all of the other ways to buy games that are more consumer friendly.
