How long till MS starts giving retail titles away?

We all know MS have been somewhat of cheapskates with their Games with Gold offerings on Xbox One (however stellar they were / are on 360. Sony will make Injustice and Infamous First Light available in January, when do you think Microsoft will start following the suit?

I'd say not instantly but I think it will be 3 months after January. Do you think they'll still offer one new game and recycle one old one from last month? Or will they offer one retail title and one indie one?

Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus games are not free, they are subscription-based rentals.

Ironically nowhere did I use the word "free" and I wasn't really hell-bent on making this distinction either. Unless you were referring to "giving away".

yes i would like to see better games xb live i just payed for a year of it and only thing i use it for so far is playing multiplayer

i would prefer if they gave me better deals on new games paying 60 dollars for a digital isn't fair imo since retailers sometimes alrdy knocked off 10 dollars from the price where as xb store doesn't reduce price as quickly as retailers and they don't have any deals, and the discs are quicker to install an play then downloadin from store so ppl are mad about this stuff imo atleast i am

Anyway the only game I was really interested in was Max Curse of the Brotherhood and I hadn't had a Bone back then and my Gold expired when I realized I could queue it without owning one (One), despite marketplace being locked out in my country back then.

HOPEFULLY soon (as in six months) after Sony's PS4 retail offerings hit PS+. Sony seems to set the trends on PS+ that M$ adopts later for GwG, so we can hope they will follow suit.

As I said months ago, I would expect 2013 launch titles that didn't sell well at first.

Injustice GOTY will be available to the PS4 in about five days.

Of course, M$ has been very cheap with Xbone GWG and December just announced is another single new game with Worms, so at this rate, who knows.

A month or two after the temporary price drop goes away. They're taking a hit financially already.

MS has to stop giving away upwards of 33% of its launch exclusives to PC first. I'm guessing another year or so till the catalog build up and then they'll start.

They have been putting limited time offer on all their commercials. They are trying to get a sales bump. If they get a decent jump they don't need to keep it at that price point. If they do....consider it a failure.

I am surprised that Powerstar Golf has not been a gold game yet. It was not an expensive game, but it is a very good one

Not sure what you mean? Viva Pinata, Red Faction, and Darksiders 2 were all retail games. There have been others, but those are the most recent. Plus First Light is hardly a retail game. It's downloadable DLC.

nope, i no longer have my gold account but i still have all the games i got from GwG, GwG games are actually free.

They already did, i have gears and Saints row 3 through GwG

I actually BUY the games that I want to play. I can't bring myself to complain about a free game, no matter what game that is. It's a free game...c'mon.

For Australia and New Zealand we got Powerstar golf as our gfg last month. It is good, but unfair a lot of the times.

45% of the sales for Fifa 15 sales in the UK where on last gen systems so clearly Some people do care about last gen systems eh mate?

I get to play 95% of what Xbone and Ps4 are playing on my 360,if nobody cares about last gen systems why are they still releasing games for them well into 2015.

Not to mention last gen systems still have a much larger install base than current gen systems, roughly a 160 million versus 25 million tops.

So the evidence kinda says otherwise.

8th gens ben a joke so far, the best game so far on the xbone is Multiplat and available on the 360 and the highest scoring game on the PS4 is also available on the PS3
