How did MS manage to not get LawBreakers for X1?

Xbox used to be the shooter console. In fact, CliffyB used to make Gears of War, exclusively for the 360. How it is that they are not porting this to X1?

Sony probably payed them more to keep it exclusive. Thats been their go-to move this gen. Doesn't really matter though. That game looks like it would be real shitty to play on a controller, much less the DS4 which is an atrocious controller for shooters.

Boss Key is somewhat small. They don't have enough people or resources to do both at once. They went with the bigger user base first. They will bring it to Xbox down the road too I am sure.

Why are people talking about this game now that it is coming to PlayStation and not Xbox? No one gave a crap about it 3 months ago.

I expected this game to be Xbox console exclusive.

Cliff Bleszinski did stated he might consider an Xbox One version later but however, for a game like LawBreakers, this game needs to be play on PC, from what I saw at E3 2017, LawBreakers looks to be a faster pace shooter then Overwatch and there's no way I'm playing this game on a console, I'm getting this on PC anyways once I try out the open beta this weekend.

In what way do the Sony fanboys half to do with this? LawBreakers was meant to be play on PC anyways, coming to PS4 is just extra cash for Cliffy due to the huge install base. It's just smart business in the end.

As others have said Boss Key doesn't really have the resources to launch the game on all platforms right now. I expect it to come out later on for the Xbox One and look forward to it, the game looks quite good.

Xbox fanboys are truly hilarious. Sony must have paid, they stated largest install base, this game looks shitty, and it's coming to the XboneX one day. That's all over world in an attempt to justify why a game may not come to your beloved console.

He said his team wasn't big enough to do all the versions at the same time and they needed money to keep the game devs putting food on the table so they started with the largest user base.

Looks like there is no exclusive agreement with Sony and will most likely will be out on Xbox after release.

Honestly, the game looks stupid anyway, and this is coming from someone who's more of a playstation guy than an Xbox guy. I don't think anyone is missing out by not getting this game on their preferred system of choice.

Cliffs said something along the lines of "I have a small studio and I want to be able to give them pay checks, focusing and releasing on the console that a 60 million install base is the better bet. Once money is made and if the game is successful it will be coming to Xbox

Sony likely pays a lot of indie devs but stipulates they can't disclose it, and when asked why they chose to make said games on PS4 repeat the same line they all do, that Sony approached them first and they're easy to work with. I've read this so much its like they're reading a script.

In this game's case, if this is from Cliffy B, my guess though is he's opting this on his own. Probably still steaming about the Gears legacy he walked away from. He'll probably never make anything again in his life that will match up. He says he needs to pay his staff. From what? Those free-to-play revenues he'll be rolling in, like with Paragon; please. Guy is bitter, it shows.

I think it was done so the game would be talked about. The game does not look very good but because it keeps being talked about it may actually sell more on one console. If this was just another multiplat it would be buried under all the games that look to be better,

It sure does make sense, Playstation is the more popular console. So when your resources are limited you go for the console you can get the most sales potentially.

Also Cliffy likes to drop platforms: He dropped PC for the Gears of War series. Now he drops Xbox for Lawbreakers.

Not a game I'm really interested in but Cliffy did say that an X1 version hasn't been ruled out and may come a bit after the other versions so perhaps the thread title should be; When do you think LB will come to X1? Eh, but hey, that wouldn't serve as the false narrative you're going for. :P

The game seems a bit too twitchy to be on X1/PS4 to begin with. A mouse/keyboard would really benefit this game (although, I guess that can be said about any FPS). As for why it went to PS4...could be a deal, limited resources, or maybe he just doesn't like MS anymore aha.

Because when a console sells like shit like Xbone has it will get less games.

Game will be best experienced on Microsoft Windows indeed. Should be a nice little twitch game.
