Hogwarts Legacy new gameplay video

I'm actually excited for this game, since I was a big fan of the books growing up. Looks like they did a great job at recreating the school..hopefully the world will have the same level of detail.

I am pumped for this Xbox game. It will actually be my first time playing any game in that series.

Yeah, it looks alright. Feels like they put a BioWare-level amount of effort into recreating Hogwarts, which is not amazing but adequate for this sort of game. I guess I shouldn't expect much more than that.

Again, a Harry Potter RPG is such an obvious idea it's surprising it took this long for someone to make it. It's all about the execution now, and what I see so far points to a solid but unspectacular execution.

im a bit concerned though...they've been light on the details about this game, a bit TOO tight lipped if you ask me, and we're pretty close to the launch date, less than 4 months away. I'd hold off on that pre order if I were you. I really hope they don't mess this one up though.

And I've been too busy for that, but on that note Miyamoto basically confirmed that the next system can do hardware BC, so your x86 hopes are pretty much dead I'm afraid.

It's pretty much the only upcoming game I'm interested in, but that video didn't do much for me. Be your own wizard at Hogwarts is exactly what I want from this game, but something just seems off. Hopefully they show some better stuff between no and release.

@techhog89: fair enough, she's pretty bigoted towards the trans community (I think). Personally I'm not a fan of the trans community either, but I'm not someone who would actively out of my way to hate on them, like jk rowling has. It's disappointing to be honest that she would be that kind of person. I'm sure a lot of her fans are disappointed in her.

With that said, she has zero involvement in the game itself. She will probably get licensing fees, but outside of that, there is zero involvement from her.

Well Nintendo is probably looking at the steam deck and getting real nervous. Maybe even having second thoughts. Whatever the switch 2 uses, it better not be some kind of toaster in terms of performance. That will be disappointing to many people. Possibly more disappointing than jk rowling being a trans hater.

The term "RPG" is almost meaningless now because there are many definitions of this genre. In its literal meaning, it refers to a game where the player takes a role of a character, whether a named character like Mario, or an Avatar (who represents the player) like the protagonists in the recent Fire Emblem games.
