And so the embargo has ended. Fivethousand reviews happened simultaneously. So I'm just gonna stop tallying them up here as it is now pointless. Check Metacritic. So far critics are continuing singing its praises...in the rain. What a glorious feeling. The critical response has gone way beyond my expectations.

Bottom line is it's probably a pretty good game. If you don't like this type of game then NO ONE CARES, and, GO AWAY.

It's been getting solid reviews, so i'm excited. I'm just waiting to see how it does here, though i'll be buying it regardless.

Played the demo last night and I think my expectations for the game rose even higher. Glad to see several critics agree

Wow i didnt know there were that many reviews in already.

the demo was cool, it made we want to play more. unfortunately i cant see spending 60$ on this so ill be waiting for a price drop or when i can get it cheap used

Nice at first i was hesistant towards this game but now it seems it really is a solid game

You're totally right dude. Man, never thought of it that way. You've really opened my eyes to how much of a crappy piece of garbage Heavy Rain actually is. All those critics giving it perfect scores have no idea what their talking about. I mean, they've only actually played the game. Thanks again though, I'll cancel my pre order tomorrow!!

It's a lemm what do you expect. They know nothing outside of Halo, GeOW and daily RRODs.

Wait I have it, by that logic it's about 3 or 4 full length blu-ray movies(extended editions), brand new blu-rays run at about $25.00, average that out it comes to about $100.00, add the fact you actually interact with the movie and man, great freaking value, it's like buying three or four movies in one and you actually participate in the movie!

The scores it's getting are comparable to movies like District 9, Avatar, Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings etc.

Nice scores, although I still need a demo to make up my mind on this one.

They have ranged from 9-12 hours. Seems lengthy enough for me. If it was really long it might seem kind of dragged on

The game has 20+ endings. Exactly how different each ending is remains to be seen, but still.

What did these reviews say about the replay value? I'll probably rent it this month and if I like it I'll get it cheap later on.

HR it is only 9 hours max QTE's.......it is not worth a buy imo,i will save my money for God of War 3.Maybe i will rent HR someday......

The game is a must play just by being what it is... but 60 dollars for a game that you may play 2 or 3 times MAX seems a bit steep... thats the only thing I meant to say, not bashing.

I acutally think that this game is well worth owning. Simply from a value perspective, playing into the very misguided impression of this game. If it is basically just a movie, that is say 10 hours long, then one play through levels out the costs of watching 5 movies in the cinema.

Throw in that this is the kind of game that you would replay at least once and you have your costs covered more then once.

Its all about what its relative to...and this argument is a bit ridiculous as its based on a false claim, but my point is that if the story is good enough, and the replayablility is varied enough, then owning this game could well be worth it..
