What is this game about?

As the tagline of the game suggests
Heavy Rain is an action adventure game set in a dark film noir type of thriller that follows the story of 4 normal people who have to face extraordinary situations , it will be an emotional driven experience that brings powerful themes, realistic world setting and it will be mature.
Characters.
First character is Madison Paige,she suffers from severe insomnia and can only sleep at motels for some reason. She's also a journalist and a photographer with an urge to help the authorities regarding the case of the origami killer.
Up next is Norman Jayden, an FBI agent with a drug addiction who is also on a mission to reach the unknown killer.
Ethan Mars, he lost one of his sons in a tragic death, just like the rest of the characters, he is in an effort to make sure the same doesn't happen to his other son.
Last but not least Detective Shelby, a private investigator researching the Origami Killer trying to find clues.
Gameplay.
The way you are going to approach this situation is up to you.
The game is "choose your own experience" type of gameplay where every choice the player makes leads to consequences and sometimes will have major impact on the story overall since it does not feature a game-over situation if one of the main characters dies, the game will continue with the player's decisions.
There will be the conventional adventure gameplay mechanics where the player find clues, interrogation and solving mysteries, Heavy Rain will also feature a deep Quick Time Events in cutscenes, the QTE will have options to select from within limited time instead of the traditional way of QTE where the player must press the right buttons to succeed, in Heavy Rain the right buttons are the ones that the player will choose rather than what the game forces them to choose whichmeans every bit of the game will be controllable seamlessly without any passive entertainment thrown at the player.
