Heavenly Sword movie is being made. Why?

I liked the story and characters so I am fine with it. When did Ninja Theory say they had no interest in making another one?

What does that matter?  They're not only going to try to appeal to gamers?  That's what advertising is for.

Maybe Sony trying to make movies for some of there games, so they can make money from the movie and the game. Maybe on PS4 they are planning a part 2.

So people that watch the movie will be like cool, now I want to check out the game.

People that play the game, will be like I want to watch the movie now.

So its a win, win for Sony, Good marketing. I am sure now that there will be another Heavenly sword game.

A few years ago I was mildly interested in picking up this GoW clone when it hit the bargain bin, but then I found out how short it was.

A few years ago there were rumours about an HS2 with a male protagonist. A prequel game telling the story of that savior that saved Nariko's tribe thousands of years before (the first guy wielding the heavenly sword) would be my guess

The game was mediocre at best, however the storytelling was actually pretty decent (while a bit too short), the plot was nothing special though. How about make a Bioshock movie instead?rjdofu
