Has MS ever had a successful product that wasn't a cheap knockoff?

Windows was just a cheap ripoff of the Mac GUI, Xbox is just a bootleg PlayStation. Has Microsoft ever done anything besides making tacky versions of products that already exist?

I get that some people (including the SW moderators) who worship them because they make money, but then so does McDonalds. In a way Microsoft is the McDonalds of the Tech industry, with a similar demographic. Selling low quality products to consumers who just don't know any better.

OG Xbox was dope and was anything but a bootleg Playstation. Maybe it doesn't fit into your definition of success here, but it was a damn good console that stood on its own.

360 was built like a piece of shit, but it was still a damn good console and successful at that. Can't call it a bootleg Playstation since it was Sony who was aping on Microsoft at that point.

Also all of the Surface products are damn good pieces of hardware. If anyone says differently they are just trolling like this guy!
