Halo Reach: Flop Incoming?

By flop incoming, I meant critically on gamespot. I mean, Gamespot choose a pro-Sony multiplat (Dead Space 2) over Halo Reach as best Xbox 360 title in E3 Awards...Thats kinda sad and I think its a sign that gamespot isn't impressed by the game.

I fail to see the relation between Dead Space being more impressive in the E3 and the possibility of Reach flopping.

I was under the impression E3 awards were not indicative of the final product. Scribblenauts won a ton of E3 awards but when the reviews hit, it averaged 79%.

I really doubt it. Halo Reach will get AAA.

I don't know, TC. I did not enjoy the portions of the other Halo games I played, and I think Reach looks fantastic. In fact, it has impressed me so much, that I want to go back and give the previous Halo titles another go and see if my opinion of them has changed somewhat.

Nope sorry. Halo is an AAA franchise and Halo Reach will not be an exception.

I'm curious, how do they decide the E3 awards? Do the reviewing staff take a vote on each individual award?

Also, there is something that might be of interest to you. Someone I know who went to E3 said that at Microsoft's booth, there were a lot of Kinect games, but Halo Reach was nowhere in sight.Perhaps that could have been a factor in the decision as well.

Oh good point. I remember they brought some guys from Bungie to play Halo Reach. I believe it was the same demo as the one they showed at the press conference.

I seriously don't want Reach to flop because of the amount of chaos that may occur and this chaos may be worse than what happened with SMG2 when it got a 10. If it gets a 10 the same thing may happen as with SMG2,but not as bad.

Reach FLOP? that would be the day SW explodes, Lemms will RAGE, send death treats to GS staff, and you'll see a bunch of multiple suicide threads. COWs will have a field day with themRTUUMM

It would be entertaining I admit, but I doubt that will happen. Just like if GT5 would flop

yeah now that you mention that you are probably right. There is practically no way that Reach could not be better than ODST. If it gets a lower score one can be sure that it is simply because gamespot didn't receive enough $$$$ in the mail.

Maybe Dead Space 2 is just that damn awesome???

don't forget that KZ3 was awarded best SHOOTER by Gamespot. Halo:Reach prob won't be a flop but as I have expected will not be as good as Halo 3.

There is exactlyZERO possibility of the LAST Halo game flopping. It could be the worst Halo game ever, and it would still score AAA.
