Uncharted launched on the Vita with naughty dog overseeing the project and failed to sell people on the Vita proving Uncharted is not a system seller ... as great as people wanna make naughty dog to be there games don't have longevity ... Uncharted 3 didn't have the same effect as Uncharted 2 and the recent Vita game didn't make people go run out the door for a vita ... there games loose appeal fast
Halo all the while is a system seller for the Xbox 360 console ... Halo 4 sold faster then any halo game yet proving fans still love the series and stamping 343 with approval that halo is in good hands ... its one of the top 3 or 4 games played on xbox live ... Halo 4 pretty much made Sony skip 2012 as they have nothing in there game arsenal to battle a halo
There is no question that Halo 5 will be the game everyone wants ... Sony games are fillers until the next halo comes out nothing more nothing less ............ cry more !

That is not completely true. There was next to no marketing for uncharted3 outside of the gamers venue. Uncharted 2 had a massive television push. Considering Uncharted is also one of the most sought after franchises for film, I can't completely agree with you.The power of the marketing campaign was made up of four major elements: Announcing with authority, Sampling through the Public Beta, Road to launch, and critical acclaim. We put emphasis on a strong announcement of the game, as we know thats when you capture the interest of gaming evangelists. We leveraged the spotlight of the Spike Video Game Awards, where we unveiled our announce trailer, and boldly announced our street date of 11-1-11. We also held a press event to share first gameplay. The next big campaign beat was the Public Beta. Although a traditional tool used by development to kick the tires on multiplayer, we see the Public Beta as an important marketing tool to get the game in the hands of our core gaming community. We supported the Beta with a combination of digital advertising and retail point of purchase. We ended up with over 1.6 Million players far exceeding our expectations. The 6 weeks prior to launch was our next critical marketing beat, as this is when we start converting purchase intent to actual pre-orders. For the Uncharted 3 campaign, we used a combination of broadcast advertising, a multi-million dollar national campaign with Subway and traditional PR. The perfect storm of unveiling new exciting game content, sampling through Subway, and :30 spots on key NFL games, generated the excitement and retail pre-orders.
