Yamauchi you crazy man :P

My sentiments exactly. I've always thought consoles were blasphemy to the GT series. At the least, they should be allowed to make PC/PS3 muti-plats :(

he'd be restarting every time new hardware released
but in all honesty Im sure the game will still be fantastic, its good to see devs being honest with there thoughts
the ps4 will handle anyone's vision. plus the wii 2, and the xbox whatever it's called. graphics will peak by next gen.
"The PS3 is arguably the most technologically impressive games console on the market"
that isn't arguable.
I am sure many developers could do a lot with better hardware and an infinite budget, in the end they have to work with what they've got... or make a PC game :P [QUOTE="tomarlyn"]Make a PC game then In b4 ''technology is only a tool''SaltyMeatballsI have never seen people say that on SW, so how do you "in b4" it?
after reading that and then looking at your sig I cannot lie, I lold

Neither is this "but not nearly as impressive as what my PC can do, so if technicallity or graphics are so important mentioning a PS3 is silly when pc's exist" , I quoted myself LOL :P
Oh and his vision couldn't br recreated with PIXAR level PC's

Err, of course it is. The 360 and PS3 are really close when you compare the hardware. Yes the PS3 has 3 better looking games, but it's just that, three games. The 360 needs proper talented devs who will commit the time to push the system. Developers like T10 use older engines. Sony's dev's use engines built from the ground up, or spend more time beefing up the visuals.
What did I tell you? You guys thought I was full of crap.
The next GT should be developed for OnLive.
Why?
The list goes on..

This is true PS3 and 360 are very close interms of power

The next GT should be developed for OnLive.
Why?
- PC/Console hardware frozen in time.
- OnLive's servers updated every six months.
- Ability to update game engine on the fly.
- Ability to add content on the fly.
- One Gran Turismo game - Constantly being updated.
- No more waiting for physical manufacturing.
- No more delays.
- No more "Prologues" or demos.
- On-demand beta testing.
- Developers earn twice as much money (vs. retail)
The list goes on..

Or just model off Iracing which does all the same as above but even faster. Did you just say PC hardware is frozen in time?

soon to be 4 :P I think this right here proves it... you whine about talented developers, but here this. The xbox 360 is much easier to code for, hence that should make a perfect port from the ps3 to 360 when making a game right? okay then, how does this explain why final fantasy 13 runs at 576p on the 360 instead of 720p? how? why does castlevania on 360 run with a much worse framerate on the 360 version? how? This isn't arguable buddy.. the fourth game is GT5 btw. then killzone 3, uncharted 3, the last guardian ect. ect.
Should've put it on 360 then. AAllxxjjnn
Would have ran into similiar problems on 360... Only platform they should have put it on if they feel the ps3 was not up to snuff was the PC.
[QUOTE="tomarlyn"]Make a PC game then In b4 ''technology is only a tool''lx_theoIf he makes a PC game, 1% percent of PCs might be capable of running his vision. (Yes, made up statistic, but a realistic estimation expectations of him).
That 1% being able to play the game as he visioned it would be better than the 0% that can't because PS3 is too weak.
I don't see what you were trying to say/prove with that statement. In most cases, 1% is better than 0%. This is one of them.

Maybe when Onlive service is not so laggy as it is now.
[QUOTE="windsquid9000"]I don't know about that. Imagine how long it would take if he was allowed to make the game on PC. One could attribute a good chunk of GT5's development time to making their engines from scratch and working within the PS3's constraints. After porting/optimizing the engine for PC hardware, the rest should be smooth sailing... Hopefully :PMy sentiments exactly. I've always thought consoles were blasphemy to the GT series. It looks good to me. If he doesn't think it looks good enough then why did he even make the game in the first place :| Thats why it's been delayed so much, cause he never thinks it looks good enough.

Ah, you resorted to saying I was whining, not even a mature response. As for multiplats, don't even bother trying to argue. The 360 has more superior multiplats. As for Last guardian, well you have no footage, so yeh. UC3 isn't even official. And KZ3 looks barely any better than the 2nd. GT5 looks brill though.
He would say the same thing if he had the most powerful hardware in the world. Its still not enough for my vision, this guy is a anal perfectionist.djsifer01
Hey now, lets try and keep this discussion a clean one.
