I'm not sure why we're picking consoles since a lot of GOTY contenders are multiplat, but I'll say 360 since most of the contenders will be appearing on it.myke2010

The 360 will have Forza 2, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Bioshock, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, GTAIV, and PGR4 before the year is over.

One of those should make GOTY, I'm thinking GTAIV will get the nod.

*edit: DOH! I forgot CoD4... but I still think GTAIV will get goty.

The odds heavily favor the360 or PC. Between them they've got Assassin's Creed, CoD4, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Crysis, Bioshock, GTA 4, and probably others I'm forgetting. Each has a legitimate chance at GOTY (and I don't like Halo, but 3 actually looks good). In fact this year's field is so unbelievably crowded that I think most sites will have different GOTYs.

None of the PS3's exclusives this year have any real chance (haha Lair), so looking at the odds, it's 360 or PC. And yes, I know some of those are appearing on the PS3. But we're talking odds here.

You've listed 4 multiplats while i've listed 7 exclusives that have a good chance at GOTY. Yea that totally means most of the contenders are multiplats. :roll:

theres too many to list.... theres 10 potentials at least... id say the top 5 contenders are

mass effect

halo 3

bioshock

SMG

CoD4

i really dont think any ps3 games have much of a chance except for the multiplats but we will see.... and i own a ps3 .... oh well thats why i have a 360 too

Gimmicky controls dont make a game great....

It should be a close fight between Mass Effect and Haze. But I've been touting Haze as my GOTY for months, so why stop now?

Halo 3 and Mass Effect are the best chances it has, which I don't think either one has a very good shot (the other chances for 360 are multiplats).

The titles that the 360 has aren't enough to make it this overwhelming of a difference. The Wii has two games coming out in the next few months that belong to franchises that have won GOTY. And both of those, by all indications, are great, fresh new starts for their respective franchises.

I voted Wii. I don't have much faith in GS to appreciate changes, but I know for sure that my GOTY will be on the Wii, and not a traditional console.
