or 20 bucks for 3 months or 8 dollars for 1 month Remember you cant say something like better dlc games because store access is free. You cant say that 360s come bundled with headsets because a hardware bundle has nothing to do with a gold accounts cost.Origami_Kill3r
I can't give you half a reason. :(
you could use it for voice chat on nintendo ds. You can talk to your friends any time you want. You can watch netflix movies and zune movies together using party chat. Thats worth it for me.
would it make you feel better if people admit it's not worth it?
what are you honestly trying to achieve with another one of these topics? people will continue paying always.

when playing games like nhl 10, cross game chat allows me to chat with my friend without having static and lag around his voice.
sometimes i just wanna play a single player game, do my own thing, i can chat with a bud while i play my single player campaign.
but the main reason is, i can chat with a friend WHENEVER i want, i can be doing anything, and i can still chat, i dont have to be playing what he's playing.
what if i dont wanna hear other people? what if i just want me and my friends to chat, not some random kid on cod or whatever, just my friends, random kids are annoying.
Think of all the crap you could buy if you just saved up that money instead. anthonycg
right cause 50$ is a boatload of money....
imagine all the things i can buy!!!
Think of all the crap you could buy if you just saved up that money instead. anthonycgIt is 3 bucks a month. I can buy 2 extra hamburgers at mcdonalds. If i save it up for a year thats 30$ i saved. Why save that money when if you just get a job you dont need to save 30$ as you can work for it.
Think of all the crap you could buy if you just saved up that money instead. anthonycgYou buy fecal matter?
netflix is on the ps3 and u still have to pay for the netflix subscription its not even included in the 50$ a year for live. what a jokeyou could use it for voice chat on nintendo ds. Think of all the crap you could buy if you just stopped eating as well. Or how about walking to work everyday. No more car payments and gas costs. Different strokes for different folks. I'm a PC gamer but I do pay for XBL simply because I have buddies on there as well as on PC (and PS3 as well...I have alot of friends I suppose). To some it's worth it, to others not. 1. Xbox live is 30-35$ on amazon.com which equates to 2.5- 2.9 dollars a month

a story driven single player rpg with tons of dialogue?
Also don't give me that
"When psn gold comes out it has moar fechars!"
The lowest payment option for psn gold is 5$ less than a year of xbox live.
And it has virtually the same features as live does.
So once again.
You can pay 30-35$ a year for extra features on xbox live which beats psn.
Or you can pay for psn gold at the highest price (59.99$) and get more features which are subjective.
Or you can pay 30$ for the lowest psn gold membership and get the same features as xbox live gold.
Sure online gaming is free but cross game chat enhances my experience IMO
Or you can play online for free and miss out on some features.

If you want to pay buy the month that cost you 8 dollars a month If your a moron you would pay the 8 dollars a month and pay a whopping 96$ a year. And yes that is 200%
30$ a year.
30= 100% 30+30= 60 which is 100% if paying month-by-month would = 60$ at the end of the year then you would save 100% paying all up front
Since month to month= 96$ a year then 30+30+30= 90= 200% and +6= over 200%

It's not. But you act like that's the only thing that Live has, which PSN doesn't.. like the ability to play to your music in game during gameplay only, etc. I'm not saying that Live is worth it, but you definitely just took one feature and acted like that's the only thing people get.

Hhahahaah. Wow. Yeah, that's certainly worth 50 dollars every year. To have fun "chatting" with some random person you met online while you're playing a video game. Or yeah, your actual friend... instead of calling them on the phone while you're playing a game. I bet it would even take less time to dial his/her number instead of sending the invite and launching the application... or even accepting an invite and connecting. Anyone who pays for XBL is getting ripped off.I just think its funny that so many people say that blu-ray isnt needed for gaming, it doesnt bring anything special to gaming, wi-fi isnt necessary, and SONY is such a terrible company because they didnt give you the choice to either have or not have those features. But when xbox live gets brought into the discussion, cross game chat is such an important feature that it totally justifies the cost of live when built in wifi, blu-ray, ability to upgrade to any sata hard drive in the ps3 doesnt justify the cost of it. And microsoft gives you no alternative if you want to game online.
Especially since they complained about the cost of the launch models, but if those people bought xboxes instead the cost of live alone would amount to a little more than half of the highest priced sku the ps3 had to offer...

When you can accept that others have different opinions of things than you do you'll get over this whole XBL thing. Until then, well, I expect to see far more threads from you. And, once again, my free online PC service (aka Steam/D2D, etc. stuff like that has to do with games) still destroys your ps3 one. I get cross game chat for free through Ventrilo. That and I own a ps3 with that same free internet service as you as well as XBL to talk to my buddies. What do I win? ;) Really though, once again, different strokes for different folks. i own both the ps3 and 360, actually my 360 is dead so i only own a ps3 at the moment, and xbl is hands down better, do you know how annoying it is playing nhl 10 with someone and not being able to hear them? very frustrating, its only a rip off to those who cant afford it, its simple really.

one thing youll notice on nhl 10, if you arent in a party chat, eashl is obsolete, you cant even hear your teammates half the time.
