Microsoft paid Giant Bomb, its the only reason Ori and Microsoft Flight Sim is somehow in GOTY conversation by these media outlet alongside TLoU part 2.

Meh. Like I told you before, I'm more of a "gamer who games on a PC" than a "PC gamer" these days.

All these games make sense for very different reasons. Have to agree that Ori was prettiest in the end.

Ori is freaking beautiful. It is the only game where I would go out of a limb and say it is the best looking 2D game ever made.

Solid 3 games for the category. I'd give the edge to Flight Sim for breaking new technological ground and blowing my mind in a way no game has for years, but no denying that Ori is ridiculously beautiful.

And very challenging which is what I really like about Ori games. I'm hoping we'll get a 3rd game. Also the art is truly beautiful to look at.

Eh, more Subjective. But if you're going by something quantifiable as in... detail/ accuracy and amount of said detail/ accuracy no question it's Flight Sim.

Answer it doesn't. I'm sure ori is cool and has some fans but you just can't compete with classics.

How does a 20 years old game invalidate a new game getting GOTY?

Why is that a problem? That game is perfect for the switch and PC players also get to play it, that's a win.

Where's Ghost of Tsushima? That excelled in both technology and art design.
