Wow, the posts in this thread are literally split 50/50. To be fair, that was just a trailer meant for hyping up the action hero in all of us. I have no doubts it wil lbe more tactical than you all think. Hell, GRAW2 really wasn't that tactical but it was a lot of fun regardless. This looks to be on a higher level than that game, just coated in an action game's skin. Anyway, single-player regardless, the multiplayer for this game looks ****ing amazing, and that's the primary reason I'm picking it up.

Yeah those were good days. At least they tried some realism. But nowadays actual tactical moments are all about entering a large empty corridor with a lot of doors that lead to the same area(so that you know a tactical decision is coming up); everything else is the usual gun and run action romp.Nowadays tactical shooter = Gears of War.

The last good Rainbow Six was Raven Shield and Ghost Recon was the original (both GRAW's PC had potential but where way too glitchy and buggy to be really enjoyable).

I want the SWAT series back.

Unfortunately, the gaming population changes and the need to keep a developer from bankruptcy take precedence over making a realistic shooter.

I loved SWAT. but I can see why it wasn't a blockbuster.

In the least, I can tell that GRFS is an attempt to find a balance between realism and commercial appeal.
