GENERAL CONSENSUS NEEDED! Crysis vs Heavy Rain (poll)

The topic about heavy rain and its "best graphics ever" has gotten so out of hand that this was needed. Do people (some in that thread claim so) really believe that heavy rain has dethroned crysis and is a more realistic/better looking game?

one im too lazy. crysis would still win even though its unfair. gameplay pic zoomed in with binocs that put lines and color all over her face (only chance for good closeup) vs a developer taken touched up bullshot of heavy rain that probably isnt even in game

not only is the facial detail crazy but all of the textures on the helmet are incredible. you wont see that stuff on consoles this generation sorry people.

at least you PLAY Crysis.... rather than watch it and push a few buttons here and there, it surprises me what can pass as a game nowadays. I'm sure if Heavy Rain was on the 360 you could play it from start to finish using the "Scene It" controller.

well if you have pockmarks and are a grizzled war veteran you might. even in mass effect thers a slider for complexion and the farthest setting indeed looks like this (although not as detailed)

i have a feeling you dont get out much and see a lot of people. some people due have really rough faces. its just genetics. and hes probably near 40 years old. hell watch this. if i can find this photo i have of htis air force broschure theres a black guy with a face more textured than that.

I noticed how he used pics than the one we were talking about in the other heavy rain thread.Also we all know the pc has the best graphics but please hermits switch it up all you guys talk about is crysis mix it up some alrgiht.So far heavy rain is looking the best so far when it comes to graphics and details on consoles.

yeah it does look like sweat but it looks like they zoomed in on the person face making him look bad.But it does show off the power of the pc though.I just got to seetle with second best which is so far the ps3.

The second screenshot illustrates why Crysis, despite my problems with the character models, beats Heavy Rain graphics wise.

uh no. why the hell would they do that. theyre called pockmarks. some people just do have rough faces. i work in a retail store and if im on the register i see hundreds of people a day and some yes are comparable to the model in crysis. not ever model in crysis's face is that rough. someone find a pic of different marines in game, i might have to go take some myself in game

I think your starting to get crazy now we barely know that much on heavy rain we got pics a tech demo, and about a 2 minute video of gameplay and it is coming out late 2009.

I know what photo you're talking about. They do that because rugged = masculine in western culture. Boys want to be men so they join the Army.

I've never seen a person with a face in as poor shape as the Crysis character. The other character's in Crysis (i've seen) seem to look normal though.

well read the last few pages of the heavy rain topic and see the inspiration for this. there are a few direct post quotes saying heavy rain is the better looking game graphically. then i lol'ed and posted this
