Think we are pretty much splitting hairs in the graphics. But everything on the PS3 seems to be faded.
Sorry if old.

Not much, but PS3 is brighter and slight less detail.hummer700
I think you're finding it less detailed because of the brightness. I don't see differences in any of these games quite honestly.
It looks pretty much the same, the PS3 has a slight edge on the 360 for Oblivion (however extra time is why that is). SpiderMan 3 does look better on the 360; however it is SpiderMan 3 and shouldn't count (it sucks on all consoles)

you know what I think it is, when i switched from hdmi to a component connection just to test the difference, I noticed the games looked much lighter than when connected to hdmi, my hdmi connection gives me deeper blacks and overall a cleaner less washed out look.Interesting.
Funny to watch the crowds in MLB07 become PS1 quality on mouseover for the PS3 version, yet it has much worse framerate.:?
Edit: they even turned of soft self-shadowing for the PS3 version to get framerates up. Who are the devs responsible?

Lemmings have been proven wrong. They kept claiiming the 360 graphics update for Oblivion would kill the PS3 Oblivion version and by a landslide the PS3 has more then an edge and its as clear as night and day that PS3's version look's better proving that PS3 does in fact have more potential of the two even though their identical in power. If it were powerlevels I would say 360's powerlevel is 50,000 and PS3's is 52,000 and Wii's is around 6,000  which is not even over 9,000.

yeah, 1 year extra development time should be enough
better lighting on the 360. it's subtle, but you can pick it out in a few places.. looking at the shadowing on the mech in the very last shot, there's some shadows that just plain don't exist on the ps3 shot. something like that could be attributed to gpu differences, i guess.. soft shadowing and full hdr tend to KILL nvidia 7x00-generation cards hardcore.MakariI agree, the cost of HDR must be too high because no one seems to be using it.
Anyone think gamespot is dicking around with the PS3 version
turning up the brightness on all shots? :?
on any HDTV if you prolly turn the brightness down to 43 or 40 it prolly looks like the 360 version.

yep, devs are still getting about the same experiance time that they did with the 360, on a console that's harder to dev for...
They should of used HDMI with the ps3 and turned on full RGB. The games looks the same except for the ps3 versions being brighter. Seriously, that basically (mostly) the only difference I can discern and it sucks because it makes the textures looks worse than they actually are. Like the virtua tennis (like someone else said) I have the ps3 demo and it's definitely not that washed out...munu9
What the hell did they used? component for both consoles?
