Games you were DEFINITELY going to get but DIDN'T

What are some games you were initially blown away by and were DEFINITELY going to get but ended up not getting? And what changed your mind?

Mine: Super Paper Mario. After hearing about all the text I just decided, no.

MGs4 but after watching many videos and hearing how long the cutscenes were and the convulated story , i said no.blitzkid1

Condemned: criminal origins.

I got it for 20 bucks. It was soo cool until the end when the story got too gruesome and wierd for some fbi agent.

Still great buy. Another is guitar hero 2 for the 360. I had the ps2 one forever, and finally got the 360 one for it's dlc and I am enjoying it A LOT!! Good training before the aerosmtih edition

Battlefield: Bad Company. Not saying it looks bad now, it still looks amazing. I just won't be getting a 360 for sure anytime soon.zeppelin_64

Honestly, you aren't missing much. I was underwhelmed by the demo.

Condemned 2 : Loved the first one, was sure the second would be great but having played the demo, im not so sure.

Battlefield Bad Company : Loved Battlefield 2 on the PC, and Battlefield Modern Combat on the 360. I thought Bad Company looked very promising, but the demo was a mess to be honest. I was disappointed.

Mass Effect : Was looking forward to it for months, but when it released, i didnt get it. I actually dont know why, and I still want to play it. Strange.

Get Bioshock Now! It's the most original game so far this generation after Super Mario Galaxy.

yeah i liked spm

bioshock was ok but that, spm and mp3 all could've been done within a rental so i kind've regret it

i was interested in k&l or army of two until the reviews came in

was also interested in too human until i learned no splitscreen co op

ng2 i was definately going to buy until i tried the demo, was also interested in dmc4 but the reviews turned me away

COD4: I felt like i didnt need another shhoter, i had just payed over $100 for Halo 3

Mario kart Wii: Picked up GTAIV instead

Final Fantasy XII: After hearing the mixed reviews, i decided to wait for XIII

If SPM were to drop in price (not likely for Nintendo title) I maybe would have picked it up but I still can't get past all the text.

MGS4 is for mature gamers, not fanboys with short attenion spans(not saying you are). the story and cinematics are great, and the cutscenes (although long) actually make the game what it is.......EPIC!!

Ninja Gaiden 2- I'll buy it after my vacation

Viking- After I read reviews I decided to just rent it and I got every bit of enjoyment possible after one play through.
