Games you KNOW will not flop

Based on the otherwise unremarkable population of upcoming games, there is only one game that I am certain that could never ever flop in a million years, times infinity....

I hope you all are right about Mass Effect 4.

BioWare has an uncanny ability to **** up everything that was good about their old titles though.

Critics love to give high scores to GTA so I expect RDR2 to not flop (scores and sales).

Star Citizen is a reverse-flop: it made excellent sales and produced no release.

Anything developed by Rockstar is pretty much guaranteed to do well with critics, so I imagine RDR2's chances of flopping are almost nil.

Depends on commercial and critical reception, lots of good games don't sell and a lot of shitty ones sell really well.

Breath of the Wild, RDR 2, and Persona 5

Red Dead. Even when the gameplay will be boring, it'll be critically celebrated and commercially successful.

its because of rockstar tag. remove that tag and no one give these games over 7.

Has nothing to do with it just being Rockstar man, though yes their status afford them a lot of money to throw. Critics and gamers have always gassed up games that are more technically impressive than anything with actual substance as a game. And can't wait for the asinine "Rockstar is pushing games forward with their story telling"...except the mother fuckers can't make it one game without completely losing the plot by the halfway mark. Which you know in a real medium, would be ripped a new one.

Cyberpunk is my safest bet. Zelda close second. I can see Prey possibly flopping, and dare I say it, God Of War? And I love Kratos!

@Stevo_the_gamer: Rockstar in general man. John Marston is cool and all; but that cover shooting gameplay was mad unsatisfying. It's so sluggish and the auto-shooting just made it super easy in comparison to the other cover shooters from that era.

Plus those games have mad filler.

Cyberpunk 2077

RDR2, Zelda BotW are the ones that comes to mind.

Pretty much every zelda since Ocarina of Time has been subject to a cycle of hype, disappointment and acceptance which the new one may very well emulate.

I think TLoU2 will be like most sequels to amazing perfect games/movies.... it will be great but not as good as the first. That usually tends to be the case, so I wouldnt be surprised. If it gets slightly lower scores than the First.

So since the bar is so gad damn high, if TLoU2 isnt absolutely way better in every area, it will be a flop at a certain level to some simply for not being as good as the first

Knack 2 is Cerny's IP. He'll work really hard to make it work.

Since Twilight Princess was "guaranteed AAAA" it's never been possible to predict something that assuredly.
