Game's that scored 9.0+ that you HATED.

The game that actually scored a 9.5 that i really hate is the orange box. Why do people like this game so much? I played through all the half life's on this bundle, thought the were subpar shooters, then played portal, thought it was really boring, and then dove into team fortress 2, and then quit 15mins later because it was also boring. Call me strange for not liking this game, but thats just me. Now tell a game that scored well that you didn't like and many other people did.

Assassin's Creed comes to mind.
The sequel looks improved though.

Oblivion. I suspect a lot of people will give this answer though...

Burnout Paradise. I really dont get how can anyone like that kind of gameplay.

Really, you hate the Orange Box? I loved it for Portal alone. I thought Assasin's Creed didn't deserve a 9 but i didn't hate it. PDZ was good just not worthy of a 9.0 (then again, that was 3 1/2 years ago so it's hard to judge now), and imo LBP honestly felt like a waste of time, but i can still accept that it was a good game. And i gotta say Resistence 2 as well, for the same reason as PDZ. It just felt like a mindless shooter. Nothing wrong with that, people can think those games are a lot of fun, but generally i don't think they are AAA calibur games.

This is what TC's post made me do. Orange Box is like the greast compliation in history. :|

I guess I have to go with Assassins Creed as well, far too repetetive to be a AAA.

I don't hate these games, I don't think they deserve AAA for personal reasons.

PDZ should had been A-AA, though I can understand why it's AAA.

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves has to be the worst AAA game I've played, though it isn't bad, it didn't even deserve AAA for it's time, even Ware Ware Inc was better.

Gran Turismo 3 shouldn't be AAA either.

Resistance 2 is AA at best.

the other ones i dont hate, i just find them overrated, like GTAIV.

Oh no! I got it, Fallout 3 (got a 9 on 360 correct?) wasnt too huge of a fan of that, waay too boring to me.

Not that I hated, but I was disappointed with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3. Both games have some good features, but lacks the deepness and complexity of it's predecessors.

5 mission types if you count tower climbing and sitting on a bench, 3mph horsie rides, crippled ai, bad story, bad ending, boring counter hit for kills combat, i do admit that i managed to finish it though...

the lesson learned is no matter how brilliant your game engine is you can still screw up the whole experence.

I hated Assassin's Creed and Resistance 2. They simply aren't worthy of a 9/10 score.

AC only got that score IMO because the next gen was still relatively young and everyone was impressed with brushing past people's shoulders.

Resistance 2 is a terrible game.

I don't hate these games, imo it just didn't feel like a 9.0 game, its Assassins Creed, Resistance 2, Infamous, PDZ.

I don't think I hate a single 9.0+ game, and I really doubt any of you guys do. You might dislike that it got such a high score, or think that it's overrated by people, but saying that you "hate" games such as Halo, Assassin's Creed, Oblivion, Doom 3, etc. (which aren't buggy, broken nor ugly) just looks like an attempt to show the people who likes these games that they are, in fact, bad games. Completely ridiculous.

Anyway, I feel that GTAIV is extremely overrated. I'd give it an 8.5 for 360 and a 7.0 for the PC. It's a game I liked for a while, but now I'll never play it again.

I didn't hate Crysis, but I thought it was very very very overrated. Same with GTAIV...should've been a 9.

Fallout 3 blew ***. And I'm not a Fallout fanboy.

Gears of War 2.....such an awful awful game. Lame, uninteresting single player and a bug ridden lagfest of a multiplayer

GTA4 was such a dissapointment. I didnt hate it, but it was just a bad game. Was fun for the first city and half of the second but then it got dragged out, missions got repetative, there was nothing to spend your money on, nothing to do when you werent doing missions, wasnt as fun to rampage because they took out fun weapons like flamethrowers, satchel charges, vehicles like apaches and tanks, no parachuetes. Just the little things that made for good experimenting were taken out. I had fun, but it was not nearly as good as it could have been.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (360 version). Okay, I don't hate this game, but it does have some serious problems. It starts out great, but as you level up it gets more and more unbalanced. Also, the controls are not accurate enough, so it's easy to do illegal moves by mistake when you need to make quick moves.

TC... Anger... Level... Rising... Can't, Control...

Without a doubt its GTA4the game was just boring San Andreas was 10X better, riding bicycles FTW!
