This is coming from a die-hard GTA fan - I think MGS4 will get GOTY. It's the best game I've ever played, which is something I wasnt expecting. I knew it would be good, but I didnt know it would be this good.

I've played with the Creature Editor all day long. After reading the fantastic features of the game on Wikipedia, I'm sure that it's the most original and ambitious game ever.

GTA4 won't really have a chance in the end, I feel. MGS4 will go all the way probably.

OOooooh, Spore could be a real competitor too, depends on if it *really* makes it out. I know its pretty much confirmed, but its been pushed back a lot.

MGS4 was always GOTY for me. But a game doesn't have to get a 10 to be GOTYCouth_

I bet GameSpot will be handing out a lot of 10's this year so they have plenty of games to choose from instead of just 2.

I am a Sony fan, but I'm not blind. I've always been a MGS fan, but not a "big one". I had to brush up on the MGS storyline through the IGN article just like alot of people. Last gen MGS wasnt my favorite game. And I'll be the first to say I wasnt expecting MGS4 to be this good. It's taken me by surprise, because it's different from the others in the alot of ways.

I still prefer the GTA series over MGS, but as for MGS4, it's the best game I've ever played so far. Judge by my blogs all you want to, I'm not the only one who thinks MGS4 is better than GTAIV.

Not to mention, it's pretty arrogant for you to act like you can tell someone they have a "bad opinion" when I could say the same to you.

I'm fairly sure GTAIV is still a lock...

MGS4, and not just cause I love it XD. The written review seems to praise the game more than GTA IV's; not to mention GTA IV does have its share of quirks.WAIW

Yeah, but Metal Gear games are quirky by nature... that's why I'm still surprised by the 10 score.
