Forza 3 does NOT deserve 9.5 [PROOF INSIDE]

Think about it, what has Forza 3 added from Forza 2 other than a slight increase in visuals and a casual rewind feature? Absoloutely nothing. Standards are supposed to change over time and yet Forza 3 scores higher than Forza 2 while adding nothing essential to the genre or the gameplay? It makes no sense. If you look at the GT series they constantly improve over their previous games and add new features, MUCH improved graphics, bonus content and gameplay mechanics.

Why is there a double standard when regarding Forza and GT? It's ridiculous. Forza 3 deserves an 8.0-8.5, not a 9.5.

You fail at damage control. Forza 3 is 9.5, accept the score, move on.

GT constantly improve? Hah, visuals yeah maybe, but everything else they're playing catch-up with. Face it, Forza 3 is the definitive racing game.

What about the added tracks, game modes, better customization, quicker interface, and added variables to the racing physics and gameplay which are obvious the second you play FM3 coming from FM2? I guess these don't count.

Too bad it won't change the score. ;)

In my opinion, no racing game should be able to get a 9.5.

And I played the Forza 3 demo, and I did not like it at all. The graphics were great but the rewind feature is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Thing is Gamespot and even IGN's opinion is always going to be more respected and listened to than some forum fanboy. There is no way around this fact so you might as well come to grips with it accept it and move on.

by that logic Killzone 2 should get its score lowered because other then increased visual quality it really brought nothing new to the table but gues what, neither games are getting there scores lowerd, and both are still amazing :|

and for those of you who played the demo and didnt like it well a demo is never a good representation of the full game...even i didnt like the demo,so please dont ever judge a game based on a demo.jessesalinas

It's a score. Why care if you're not playing the game anyways?

If you play it and don't like it, well you can review it or blog it. If you didn't play it, you can't realy complain about the score.

You could say how much GS is biased towards MS in your opinion. And some people will care, most won't.

I did't think a racing game could have a score as high as 9.5, especially with the flaws 360 owners are complaining about. It seems absurd to me. But then again, I haven't played it. Maybe it is worth 9.5. I don't know.

And I don't really care.

When someone picks such exact timing (not 15 or 20), then you know something isn't right.

you cant judge forza 3 by the demo, i played the demo and it seemed pretty average to me. then after tough deliberation i went and bought the game and was blown away by how amazing it is.

Two things I've learned from system wars:

1. Great Read - is always some incomprehensible fanboy drivel masquerading as cogent argument, or its a wall of text that does the same, or its something someone copied from somewhere else that doesn't say or having to do with what the TC thinks, and

2. Proof Inside - is always some completely irrelevant thought, is some made up statistic, involves some outlandish conspiracy, or is nothing more than the TC's opinion.

Yet again, I am not disappointed.
