For people who own multiple gamingplatforms...

how do you decide wich game to buy for wich console ?

I will be buying BF3,MW2 and Fifa12 and I really have a hard time making that decision. Ended up buying COD:BO for PS3 and Xbox last year very costly if you take the dlc in account.

I buy multiplats and exclusives for PS3, and exclusives for 360 and Wii.

Don't buy CoD for PS3. Compared to the 360, its the ugly stepsister , thanks to the way Activision treats the 360 better.

I usuaally go from past installments/people on the platform.

I buy the game on the system I have. There are very few games that are on Wii and 360, most of which are superior on 360. I usually don't have this issue, as I buy systems for very specific ideals.

Before I would almost exclusively buy multiplats on the 360 regardless of their quality differences.
But I'm trying to take a more balanced stance so I'm going to look at whether one is better on one system and just get it on that system regardless of if its ps3 or 360.

I would think what one would look for is graphical fidelity and preformance, what dlc is available...etc

Multiplats and exclusives for 360. Exclusives for Wii/PS3/PC (though I have a fair few multiplats on PC as well).

Multiplats on PC, unless my lem friends get it for 360 and I want to play with them, or it's a PS360 only multiplat. Then I buy the superior version, which is generally on the 360. Every other platfirm plays exclusives.

All multiplats go to pc. Exclusives for consoles.

which ever scores better, rare cases like oblivion etc. but it depends, all my buds play on xbl but otherwise i get it for xbox, ooorrr if the wife wants it on ps3 she hates the xbox controller

I rarely ever buy console games, so the decision is easy: PC.

If it's a new game that hasn't dropped price, I usually buy it on the PS3. If it's a game that has dropped in price, I buy the version that is cheaper on Amazon (for instance, if a game is $20 on PS3 vs $18.99 on 360, I buy the 360 version).

In the rare occasion that one is absolutely much better than the other, I buy the much better version.

call of duty is made for the 360...so that one is easy..

the rest is up to you..read up on it.

I buy exclusives and PS3/360 multiplats for my PS3. Everything else will be purchased for PC

With the exception of buying a game at a discount or deal, wait at least a week or a week and a half after a game's release. By that time, people will usually mention any downfalls of a game if it is platform-specific. Afterwards, get the version with the best performance.

I am buying Battlefield 3 for 360 because the 360 controller is so much better than the dualshock 3 its not even funny. Thats the only multiplat I plan on buying in the immediate future. It is also my most anticipated game this year. I MIGHT (and this is a big MIGHT) get Money Wasted 3because lets face it, it is an addicting franchise, in which case I will also be getting it on the 360. Those are really the only multiplats I plan on buying. Everything else is exclusives, Uncharted 3, and MAYBE Gears 3. Starhawk looks good to me too.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas = Some of the greatest games this gen.

On topic I buy shooters racers and Multiplayer games for 360, Fighters RPGs and Assassins creed games for PS3.

I dont have that dillema because I buy my multiplats on the PC,all of them.Arach666

i usually buy multiplat for 360 because i have no friends with psn and i like to chat while playing a game, and i buy mainly exclusives on ps3 unless there is something special about a multiplat on ps3 like kratos in moratl kombat.

I avoid buying games for 360 if they're available on PS3. Saves me a bit of cash since I picked up the slim version. Exclusives are about the only thing he sees now.

Compared to me, I give 10's out like candy. :P

PC is normally where I get multiplats, it has to be a multiplat not on PC to choose between consoles and I normally go for either better version or friends.

After LA Noire (which I made the mistake of buying on 360), I will now buy ALL multiplats that are multi-disc on 360 on PS3. Other than that, I buy all multiplats for the 360, because I simply prefer playing games on that platform.

I have a Wii, PS3, and PC and the way I decide is if the game is on that system I will purchase for it.

Mainly I purchase exclusives for the Wii.

For some indie games and other games I know I can run I would play it on PC.

For games I can't run on my PC well I purchase it on the PS3 along with some other Multiplats and Exclusives.

Well I'm slowly but surely moving over my multiplats to PC, so all future purchases for multiplats will go there as well. My PS3 is hooked up to my monitor so there is no real advantage for me to choose PS3 over PC other than online friends.
