I'd still get a warranty. If something goes wrong, you can get a brand new replacement. Getting a refurbished unit as a replacement (which is what MS does for the 1st 3 defective units you send in) is not my idea of good coverage.

I got a 2 year warranty for my PS3 at Best Buy.

But doesn't the PS3 have a one year warranty out of the box?

if there is a price drop and you have an extended warranty and something conviently "stops working" then you get the difference back. just so you know.

I would've been covered, but a the store I got warranty with moved all their stores to the States which really pissed me off seeing as my 360 decided to break down now. And no, they did not do anything about it, I'm thinking of complaining to the store franchise that bought out the store that robbed me of my warranty. The reason I got my warranty with them because I would've been covered for 2 years, for $70 so that seemed pretty good to me.

Whoa, just reading about Nintendo, now thats some really good service.

In US, Wii has 1-year warranty out of the box given by Nintendo, and they'll give an additional 3 months on top of that when you register it on their website. Still might be worth purchasing a couple extra years on top of that.
