The Kingdom Hearts series always manages to both tantalize and infuriate fans at the same time. Its not uncommon for there to be several new titles in development simultaneously, yet Square Enix insists on drip-feeding us information, sometimes with long news-droughts. Well consider out thirsts quenched today, as a Message from the Kingdom on Sqaure Enixs official site revealed a load of new information about the upcoming  Kingdom Hearts game for PC browsers.Person

PC Exclusive.

First off, we know that the games official title will be Kingdom Hearts . For the uninitiated , or chi, is a Greek letter that has played a minor role in the last few games in the series and, without getting into some pretty spoiler-y material, makes some sense as this game comes before all other games in the Kingdom Hearts chronology. Kingdom Hearts  will allow players to create a custom chibi avatar, much like the ones in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, and battle through many familiar worlds while slaying heartless with their friends, all within their internet browser. We now know that players will progress by consuming some kind of energy that recharges over time. Impatient keyblade wielders will be able to replenish this energy more quickly by using potions and elixirs that can be found in-game or purchased for real-world money. This model should be familiar to anyone who plays social games on Facebook or other social networks.Other person

i think square really do try to piss off their fanbase these days for some reason, FF fans generally hate xiii but square deemed fit to give us 2 sequels to it, they have made remakes to all the FF's but the ones most people want to see 7,8,9 hell their even doing a remake of 10 haha, FF vs xiii is no where to be seen despite it being the one ff game everyone was hyped for this gen, we have heard zero on the next proper kingdom hearts and yet square keeps throwing out these weird unneeded KH games instead of just making KH3

This has nothing to do with the story, it's just a pay to win browser card game.

It was said that 3D is the last main game before 3. This and 1.5 (plus 2.5 pretty much) Remix are smaller stuff that SE said will still be releasing before 3.

So they could still release many different Kingdom Hearts titles but Dream Drop Distance is the last one in the timeline before 3.

Lol only like 3 of those 8 are random spinoffs. At the very least BBS, CoM, 3D are up there with 1&2 in terms of importance and such, with 358/2 Days and Coded still have a bit of importance and still in the main series.

Sucks for the guys waiting to play KH3 that haven't played the 'spin-off' games. There will be so much confusion when they play KH3.

Yeah, if you have played BBS, DDD, or CoM you would know that they greatly effect the story. If they take everything out related to those games in KH3 the story would make even less sense, to just remove all of these plot points.

Chances are they probably recap the important stuff like what they did in 3D (through it was kind of eh there), but there also the Remix series that is meant to bring the series together on to the PS3.
